Default Awesome Shreeks....Bad Paige

Shreeks bless her soul sent me some Vegemite for my dear hubby.

She dragged her tush to the store, then off to the post, where the enevelope took a long ride in an airplane across the pond to my front door in Sacramento, CA!

Where... I kid you not... my normally sedate and formal husband actually did a little happy dance in our living room... seriously!

Shreeks Thank you so much because if I had to watch DH show me the empty bottom of his Vegemite jar one more time... I'm pretty sure I'd be writing this from jail.

In a true show of generosity, a virtual stranger wnet very far outof her way to help a fellow TT sister. Girlfriend you Rock!

Why "bad Paige" you may be wondering... well because I got the package weeks ago. I really thought I posted a public thank you but I'm just that lame and didn't do it... so with my intense gratitude I also send my apologies for the dealy in thanking you!

PS... We are at the hospital as I type with our daughter for the delivery of my very first granddaughter Winter Elizabeth!

And I suddenly have these lyrics in my mind, and will probably continue humming them all evening long.....

Buying bread from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, "Do you speak-a my language?"
He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich

Ah!! Paige is gonna be a grandma! Yeah! I know you're soooo excited!! Congrats! Let us know the details (weight, height, picture?). And it's a beautiful name too!

I was pretty impressed with Shreeks willingness to go out of her way too! I remember that post from a while back. And I'm glad you are not typing this from prison! So thanks again Shreeks!!

"Vegemite (/ˈvedʒɪmɑɪt/) is a dark brown savoury food paste made from yeast extract, used mainly as a spread on sandwiches, toast and cracker biscuits, as well as a filling of pastries like Cheesymite scroll, in Australia and New Zealand. It is similar to British and New Zealand Marmite and to Swiss Cenovis.

Vegemite is made from leftover brewers' yeast extract, a by-product of beer manufacture, and various vegetable and spice additives. The taste may be described as salty, slightly bitter, and malty - somewhat similar to the taste of beef bouillon. The texture is smooth and sticky, much like peanut butter." -- From: Vegemite - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That was sweet of Shereeks to send that!

Paige, I hope everything is going well at the hospital. Best wishes to your family. I hope you are able to post a pic of the baby later

No need for the thanks Paige - just glad to bring a little happiness into someone's life (even if it is in the form of vegemite! )

Congrats on the new granddaughter - we want pics!

WOW 48 hours!!!!!!!!!! Holy cow. I have to say this scares the crap outta me. I feel so bad for your daughter. I bet she would love to sleep, but I'm sure that's not possible while in labor. I hope that the little one decides to come out soon.
