Default New surgery date

They changed my surgery date. I am now going in on May 13 instead of May 20. I am actually very happy. It gives me way less time to dwell on it. I hope everything will turn out allright. Thanks to everyone for your support. I will let you all know how I am when I get out. Here's to a new healthier and thinner me starting next weeek!!!!!

Woohoo!

By the 20th--you'll be a week out! How awesome!

Just get some Chap Stick, your iPod, and some clean undies and you'll be good to go. Don't bother taking a book--when you are on the drugs you'll be on, the text will look like hieroglyphics and be illegible!

One other word of advice--even on drugs, VH1's Rock of Love is NOT a good show. It's the quickest way to nausea! (I Love New York, on the other hand, is quality TV!) Also, all hospitals seem to have 8 or 10 versions of the Lifetime Movie Network. Contrary to popular belief, extreme doses of Valerie Bertinelli or Melissa Gilbert will NOT help you recover quicker. It WILL accentuate any latent homicidal tendencies you may have been hiding...

Good luck on Tuesday and let us know how things go afterward!

-Mike

OMG, that's Tuesday! You're such a lucky gal.

I go to the same group of doctors (I have Dr. Eid), so maybe something like that will happen to me too. I'll cross my fingers.

Best of luck to you, and let us know how you're doing ASAP.

Small thread hijack....Mike, what subject do you teach? I would have loved to have had you for English, because you have such a hilarious, quirky writing style. BTW, Valerie Bertinelli could make me feel homicidal on a GOOD day.

Congratulations! My "4th birthday" is on May 14, and I will be thinking about you and wishing you well on the 13th!
Mike's right about the ipod--much more better than tv!
all the best,
Anita
