MOTHER'S DAY UPDATE:

DH just called - his blood gases are MUCH better and he's feeling human again... The reduced pressure on his bi-pap machine is getting all the credit. They won't let him come home today because that would mean a night without bi-pap - as they cannot reset his machine. I'll have to take it to the "dealer" tomorrow to get it recalibrated at the reduced setting...

so - I'm heading back to the hospital, but will be treated to a movie with my daughter and son-in-law first... maybe touring the twin to the home we're building one more time...

Thanks again for listening to my story... the continuing saga of living with a wonderful man with more than his share of health issues... Someday I hope to tell you stories of him mowing the lawn, wrestling with the grandkids, and whisking me away for a vacation!!!

love,
Katie

My daughter took me to see MADE OF HONOR... we were going to see Baby Mama, but switched at the last min... the movie was predictable, but cute.... Our son had to work today, but will "celebrate" Mother's Day with him tomorrow sometime...

Hubby is doing ok... we spent the afternoon and evening together... he slept, I crocheted... His legs look a little blistered... I'm worried I'll get him home, only to have to take him back for another battle with cellulitis! Hopefully his PCP will check that out tomorrow a.m.

If all goes ok, I'll bring him home tomorrow afternoon...

Katie

Here we go again!

DH got home from the hospital Monday noonish... and he's BACK IN THERE now (Wed p.m.)... He started running a fever, vomiting, shaking... they're worried he might have the start of an upper respiratory infection - and are testing him for influenza... So, he's where he needs to be --- and hopefully they'll get things figured out for him.

It's time he caught a break and had some GOOD health reports!

Off to bed for me (2 a.m.)... guys will be here at 7 to tear up my kitchen floor! Eeek!

Katie
