Default My three old has surgery tomorrow

At 7:30 a.m. tomorrow my Baby who is three will be going in the operating room in order to have her tonsils adnoids removed and on top of that she will have allergy testing. I seem to be Okay right know all though I have had my mon=ments of tearing up. But as I watch her today laying with daddy adn sissy I know that all be well. That no matter what she is in Gods hands. She has talked to her Grammie and Grampie on the phone as well multiple Aunts and Uncles. Watching her do this I realize just how grown up she is. I wanted to help her get dressed this morning and she " No I do it." Maybe its just I want to hold her tight because I know what she will be going through tomorrow but I almost don't want her to grow up. Well Thanks for listening. Desiree

Hi Des,

I know it is hard to have our kids go through anything like this, but it will be OK. Our son Jake had to have his removed when he was 2 years old. It was funny because he had a really deep voice when he went in and sounded like an elf when he came out. (Actually sounded like a normal two year old afterward, but it was such a difference he sounded like an elf to us.)

We'll be thinking about you both tomorrow!!

I know it's hard to see your child go through a surgery, but just think of how much better she will feel after she is all healed up. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your daughter, and your family.

Des,

All will go well! When my son and daughter had to have anesthesia for their surgeries (sons tonsils/adenoids @ 8 yrs old and daughters sinus surgery @ 4 years of age) they allowed me to go into the operating room until the kids where under anesthesia. Just an FYI: not sure if any of your kids have had prior surgeries, but sometimes they will wake up calm...other times a little agitated...it's all normal!!

It's easy for us to say that all will be fine, but when it's your baby all sorts of strange thoughts of "what ifs" goes through your mind. So I understand the nerves you may be experiencing.

But ALL WILL GO WELL!!!

God bless...

Cathy

awww hon. She will be fine! I promise. Nurse Duckie, the official nurse for kids, has seen many a kid go through this with NO PROBLEMS. Having the allergy testing done while she is "out" is a great idea! Also, if she is severely allergic to anything she will already have a breathing tube in so it will be much easier on her.
Love and hugs sweetie.
I look forward to a post saying that she is doing great!!

Des,
You are in my thoughts today and so is your little one. They are so tiny...but they are tough. She'll be fine. Its you that will be a wreck. Stay strong...you're a good Mom.

My child went through the same thing several years ago. She will be just fine. Just say a little prayer before she goes in, just like I did.
