Talking I Set Her Straight!!..lol

I Just Wanted To Share This...
The Other Day, I Signed Up To Sell Avon. Well Anyway, She Asked Me What Was My Goal, I Told Her About My Surgery, And How I Wanted To Earn Some Extra Money For Things Like Clothes, Protien, Etc..she Told Me Took The "hard" Way Out And Joined Weight Watchers..lol....i Looked At Her Like She Was Insane, And Proceeded To Tell Her How Wls Is Not The Easy Way Out!!..i Told Her About The Times I Have Been Sick, The Things That I Need To Do For The Rest Of My Life, And I Gently Tapped My Shake And Told Her That It Was My Breakfast!! That's When She Started Recalling Stories Of Celebs That Have Had The Surgery..lol..i Do Not Think That She Has Ever Met Anyone That Has Gone Thru It...she Even Made A Comment On My Drivers License..she Said She Did Not Want To Say Anything, But My Face Is So Much Smaller Now.....well She Actually Said.." Your Face Was So Much Fatter"..lol...she Was An Older Lady, So I Let That Slide..u Know..the Respect Your Elders Thing..lol

I'm glad you said something to her!
I think a lot of people hear of the celebrities having the surgery, but don't actually know anyone who has gone through it. And I think they usually have the wrong idea about wls because of it. They see a fat person on tv, hear that they're having the surgery, then the next time they see them on tv again, they're thin. They just have no idea what it's all about.
You can't really blame them.

WAY TO GO!! I love it when people stand up for themselves. You rock!

(I do have a question. Do you have to type in all capital letters? It is really hard to read. I don't mean to offend.)

The American Media, has shaded the greatness of Gastric Bypass and people like the woman you spoke to live by the media and dont realize that much of it is brainwashing and misleading.

I would have tried to be understanding of her thoughts to, but like you at the same time tried to let her know it was not the easy road. But I too am a respect your elders type person.

These moments seem to slam the hard work and difficult choices we have made to accomplish were we are today.

Anyone who would consider this the easy way has got their wire crossed and really are being ignorant of the truth.
