Oh, and I don't feel bad at all that you aren't getting the "full amount" if you are getting a 10K bonus at work. SOrry. I feel for the people that ARE working hard and still getting paid peanuts!

Well, we just had a new roof put on last week, and a mason is coming next week to replace most of the chimney and all the front steps and walk, which are starting to look dangerous. The mason and my other contractor are happy to be getting jobs. So, I guess our check will pay bills- but I insisted we keep $100 aside to spend on our vacation-at-home this summer. I'm thinking lobster...

Excuse me? WTF! I am NOBODY'S mom! I DID go to school, thank you very much! I work my ass off every day for what little I have. I am a paralegal, dangit. I am a respected member of the legal community in my town. It's not like I'm flipping burgers for minimum wage or sitting on my ass at home on welfare. I have worked damn hard to get where I am and nobody's going to put me down for it!

was not referring to anyone on this board........people complain that i should be happy with the money i make and put me down for buying purses that costs over $100.......i stated my opinion and it was not directed at anyone on this forum unlike the ones pointed at myself.......15 years ago i couldn't even pay my bills so i myself have been on rock bottom......if the the tables were turned the other way the people getting cash would be biotchin....either way it's a catch 22.......the cost of living is very different all over the U.S.............my mortgage is 3x what my mom's is and our houses are the same size........So, as I stated before, I work hard and pay taxes and if you read the stimulus package, you will see that yes there are folks getting money that didn't pay much tax.....that's what i biotch about. Never have I directed anything to one person on here......Just stating the facts....
just wait til SS goes up when Hil or Barack get elected.....that ought to be a nice chunck out of our paychecks.....

I also buy expensive purses. HOWEVER, I do not go buy them after just complaining, in public, that I am living paycheck to paycheck and am not happy I am only getting $233 in a stimulus check.
Mortgages are more expensive now than they were when our parents bought their houses. Fact of life. It's called cost of living increases, inflation, etc.
When you over-generalize you are sure to upset people.

just my opinion and I'm entitled to that.......i'm not comparing a 30yr old mortgage......my mom just bought her house 5 years ago and lives in a different state....i was pointing out the cost of living is higher in some places......i do live paycheck to paycheck, i don't have to but i choose to.....if i have money to spend, it gets spent mostly on my kids.....if i have extra then i spend it on myself....i was not complaining about it, i was just stating it.......the only reason i ever stated i was mad was i didn't understand why the guy next to me who makes the same amount of money as i do, get a max check just because he's has a housewife at home. I'm a single parent and i have a family to raise also <<<< it was my opinion that i didnt' think that was fair......and then people attacked my selfishness....it's not selfishness that i have, i just don't understand the matrix.....if anyone looks into my comments as being an attack on them, they are wrong......i don't look down on anyone because of who they are or what they have......i was stating the facts and my opinion.

Free money is free money. I'm happy with a free latte so $233 would be fine with me. But truth be told I dont have childern to worry about.
But hey ladies and gents!! SMILE it's FREE money!! Be happy! Lifes too short to play the victim (not refering to any one person). Everyone will always think they work harder than everyone else. And people that dont deserve the money will always get some.

once again they want you to think its free..... but remember when they did this some years ago.... it came back and was deducted the next year......... The government will not be giving away ANYTHING FREE to working people whether they make 5 dollars an hour or 35.
