What difference does it make? If the guy that sits next to me makes the same as I do but he's married with 2 kids and his wife doesn't work then they get $1800 bucks. The kids stay at home and they have less kid expenses. Now, I have 2 kids and they have daycare, I take off work more to take care of their needs, etc.....blah, blah, blah......i am not rich, i live paycheck to paycheck just like everyone else. So the guy next to me gets a bigger cap because he has a housewife at home.....THAT BLOWS!!!!!

I love being discriminated against for wanting to make a better life for me and my kids......

I dont think any of this is right. Its not going to help the economy anyway, its just a way to buy votes with OUR OWN MONEY!

I envy all who live in Texas regardless tho. No state and local taxes, thats why Dallas is growing so fast.

I personally hope the power hungry take care of me first morons in DC get their heads out of their butt and see that the Fair Tax really help the USA...

I am not pushing this on anyone but if you interested check out Americans For Fair Taxation:

I completely understand why you're upset -- doesn't make sense to me, either.

BUT there could have been no stimulus package at all, so at least you're getting something.

Hopefully, people will remember to put aside some of this money to pay the taxes on it that will come due NEXT year.. since this will be considered income.

Are you sure? I heard that this would not be counted as income for this years taxes, but they could have changed their minds.

Well, no, I guess I am not sure.. it was on the radio this afternoon on my way home from work that we would.. I was listening to some radio talk show and I don't know if they have their facts straight.. I guess I'll need to google!

Okay..just googled.. I saw several that said no, not taxable, and saw several that said no, not taxable, but is an advance on a tax credit that is due next year and some that said it was taxable.... not sure who is correct.. I guess for me, I feel better safe that sorry and will put some aside, just in case.

I don't every pay, but get refunds. If we are taxed, I'll get a smaller refund. I'll live. I need to pay for things NOW! lol

This is totally wrong-- i live in the suburbs of Houston ( actually rural) and my annual taxes go up each year even with homestead! 5k this year. try coming up with that right after christmas every year. Maybe no state payroll taxes but we do have SALES TAX but even then let me tell you the local taxes will kill you.

PS-- its not the president's fault its the congressmen who come up with this tax crap-- the idiots we keep electing year after year with no attention paid to what they actually do--everyone just blames it on the president.
