Ohh...I didn't re-read the recipe..I thought there was OJ in it. The people on the site told me to follow the food listed to a T...so I guess that means no fruit. No biggee...I don't think you will be struck down by lightening...at least for this infraction!

Checking In. This is Day One for me. I began reducing my food intake prior to beginning the 5dpt. I have already noticed a decrease in my consumption and hunger.

Beginning Weight: 268
Exercise: 30 - 45 minutes (6x per week) cardio and weight training. Additional daily stretching/strengthening exercises are performed.

Morning Beverage: 4 oz of Water taken with daily vitamins/supplements
Coffee: 8 oz vanilla flavored; black, sugar free
Exercise: Walking/Shopping - 1.94 miles

Lunch: 1/2 cup of Carrot Ginger Soup (40 calories, 0.5g fat, 160mg sodium, 8.5g carbs, 3g sugar, 0.5g protein)
Exercise: 20 squats (performed daily for knee strengthening)

Relaxation: Book of Choice - French Women Don't Get Fat (reading along while I listen to the audio version)
Afternoon Beverage: 34 oz of Water

Supermarket Run: 20 minute walk
Early Evening Boost: 8 oz protein shake (25g)

Dinner: 1 1/2 cups of Carrot Ginger Soup (120 calories, 1.5 g fat, 480mg sodium, 25.5g carbs, 9g sugar, 1.5g protein) Gosh this stuff is awesome especially with freshly grated nutmeg!

Evening Boost: 8 oz protein shake (25g)

Evening Workout: 30 mins
Evening Beverage: 38 oz of Water

Note: I prepared some pudding earlier, but the kitchen is closed. I'll have it tomorrow.

I'm hardly a shining example, but did you say you've only had .5 grams of protein so far today? You're going to have to eat an entire cow before you go to bed tonight if you don't throw in some more protein!

Don't quit! Restart or keep going. Remember this is a method, you will have to find what works for you when this ends. Eating habits that don't include food that is flavorful or enjoyable will not last. If the drink works for you and is good for your body, don't beat yourself up.

I haven't had a protein drink as of yet or my evening workout. My drink provides 50g and I'm sure I'll make my numbers.
