Questions for Day 3...

The site said cottage cheese was okay for day 3...what about ricotta? Would it be too much of stretch to add a little tomato sauce and parm?

Also, if I mix tuna and boiled eggs together with a little mayo--can I add a little dill relish, do you think?

We're having crab legs for dinner so that should be a good soft protein!

Any other ideas--what will everyone else be eating?

-Mike

You guys are doing really well!!! Keep up the good work.

Couple of things really helped me:

1. Crunch ice. Satisfies the need to chew those first few days.

2. My new favorite soup: Trader Joe's Organic Vegan Black Bean Soup. Super YUMMY! Nutritional facts: 1 cup= 130 cal, 1.5g fat, 0 Cholesterol, 480mg sodium, 25g carbs, 5g fiber, 6g Protein. 50% vit A, 10% vit c, 4% Calcium, 8% iron.

Good luck

Jennifer

I just made sweet love to the Fat Free Cool Whip. I'm a little nauseous. I brought it to put on my pudding, but had an extra couple of servings. (It was only 10 calories and 1 sugar). God, that stuff is good.

I haven't had a protein shake yet...and I know I need to, but my stomach is like Amy Winehouse and is saying NO, NO, NO!

If I skip a protein shake and shoot for 50g for the day...you think that's okay?

Okay... this is what I asked them specifically:

"Cottage cheese is okay for day 3? What about ricotta? Would it be too much of stretch to add a little tomato sauce and parmesan?

Also, if I mix tuna and boiled eggs together with a little mayo--can I add a little dill relish, do you think?"

and they said:

"No, no, yes, no and no. Don't mess with it, follow the 5dpt as it's written. We got ourselves into trouble by "tweaking" the rules. Part of the 5dpt is to get us back into the habit of following rules and not messing with them. It's just 5 days of your life. You can do it."

Okay, I can do cottage cheese and leave behind the ricotta. I was really hoping for the tomato sauce angle, but they're right--it's just 5 days.

No relish either--but as long as I can have a little mayo (it said we could on the site) I'll be fine with the tuna and chicken.

I'll go out and get some cottage cheese tonight...

Do you think crushed Doritos would be okay over the cottage cheese?

Just kidding...

I need a nap.
