What is this Orange Julius stuff? Is it good? How much sugar is in it?

Sent you a PM with the recipie...the only sugar content is IF you add orange juice to it...which I do, 1/2 c. Otherwise, it's sugar free, sweetend with splenda. I tweaked Beth's recipie to something more my style...something really close to the real thing!

Can you PM me too? (even though I'm not doing the pouch test?) Where is Beth's Recipe? (dazed and confused)

Mike, its just a concoction I put together. This is what I use. Only sugar is what is in the Fage yogurt which is only natural dairy sugar. No added sugar at all otherwise.

1 7 oz container Fage 2%
1 envelope sf vanilla carnation inst. breakfast
1 cup ff milk
splenda to taste
2 t vanilla extract
1 'on-the'go' orange crystal light

Put it all in a magic bullet and it is 30 grams of protein, goodness!

Zen has her own version of it. I think she uses regular nonfat plain yogurt, some ice and some protein powder. Whatever works for you. Experiment.

Default Reporting in!

Breakfast: 1Atkins Advantage shake
1 large decaf Dunkin iced with milk and Splenda

Lunch: 1 Atkins Advantage shake
1 cup SF FF pudding

Darn it- forgot to see how much protein the pudding gave me!

I'm having sinful thoughts of LF Cheezits...why did I not take that lentil soup out of the freezer?

Thankfully I have a concert to attend tonight, so that will occupy me for some time...

Cinerbelle & Beth.. the coffee/latte with protein.. can you give details of how you're making it? I make mine with a sugar free creamer, but not too happy with the numbers.

(I also use decaf, not sure if you ladies are or not... regular coffee and my pouch are not on friendly terms )

I've been making an ice coffee, using the hazelnut flavored creamer... wish I could find something lower in fat *and* sugar.

So far, so good.

It's 7:30 and I'm still honest.

2 protein shakes, 2 big cups of decaf coffee, 2 pudding cups, 1 12 oz cup of chicken broth, and I'm still working on the Crystal Light. (I took the Magic Bullet to school with me and it really made a big difference being able to blend shakes between classes.)

This hasn't been too bad, but without thinking, I almost had a handful of almonds--but caught myself.

Oh, and the Lord helped today too. A mouse died in my classroom overnight, and the smell would have prevented me from eating anyway. I said an extra "Hail Mary" and went on with my day...

I'm going to bed early though, just in case...
