First of all, I want to thank all of you for going through this with me. I picked a tough week to test my pouch and myself...but I made it through and pretty much stuck to it except for a few saltines and a protein bar. I actually was quite pleased with myself because I was able to keep my mindless grazing under control even though I was home almost all week and not doing much of anything.

Its been a good week. I've been able to get the carb monster under control once again. I too had slipped back into that mindless snacking on and off again throughout the day and the scale was constantly reminding me that I wasn't using my tool like I should have been. I've hovered around 160 forever and had gained a few pounds when we went away for several days and I was up to 164. Before I started this test I was able to get myself back down to 158 but my body seems to always fight with me when I get to that weight. Well I'm happy to say that of this morning I was down to 153!!! 5 pounds and even though that wasn't the goal of this test it was a nice side-effect. ONCE again I am down to the lowest weight I've been able to get on this journey and ONLY 3 measly pounds from my goal!! I'm re-motivated to keep pushing and getting myself down there. It feels good...because I've been able to do what my surgeon felt it would be "highly unlikely" to do...and that is to get below 155....and I've done it...NOW the challenge is just to keep it below 155.....I can do it...I know I can...I have an awesome tool that after two years still works as long as I use it properly.

Congratulations to all of you for taking this step and re-learning some things about yourself and your pouch!! You all are awesome and I think all of us felt this was a successful week because it seems as if we all learned something!

And Mike, a HUGE congratulations on making it to the CENTURY CLUB!!! That is awesome and I'm doing my own happy dance for you over here.

OMG look at you guys!!! i'm so proud of you all ( and jealous) but you did really well. I guess it really proves that your pouches are still working correctly and that its possible to tighen them up and stuff. Yes Cindy's confession was helpful to me as i am a big stupid cheese it junkie i could go on and on eating them but found myself saying NO to them.

Um i really think next month i'm doing this 5DPT (i'll be 5months out) wow you inspiring people!

I admit, I'm two weeks from my 4th birthday as a loser--I do not count fat grams, I do not count calories. The only thing I count is grams of protein, and I make sure I consume them first.
As of this morning, I am 102 pounds below my peak weight. And to quote Mr. James Brown: "I feel good!"
