Hi Lisa,
Congratulations on the success you are encountering on your new life.
On December 7 members of this forum are going on a fabulous 5 night cruise leaving from Miami, stopping in Cozamel, Mexico and then to the Grand Cayman Islands. This is a cheaper rate due to a group rate through a discount travel agent. Check out the thread about the Carribean Cruise under the Socialize catergory and read through. I am going with my partner and we are looking forward to it. We will be flying in from Italy to join in the fun.
Claire is a wonderful person and you can send her questions too. I know children are welcome to come along.
The Norwegian Ship is 4.5 stars, 3 years old and seems like a wonderful ship to cruise on from all indications I have seen or read about.
Hope you might consider this option, the more the merrier, especially with this group of great individuals.

The Disney cruises are great. I've not been on one, though, because they are WAY too expensive for my pocket book! My hubby and I live in North Carolina and we have cruised from Tampa, Port Canaveral, and Charleston. Obviously, Charleston was the best from a driving standpoint. You might want to look into cruises that go from Charleston since you live in South Carolina. Go to any of the travel web sites and search cruises by port. There aren't a lot of cruises out of Charleston, I think the Norweigan Majesty is the only boat that goes out of there regularly, but there are regular Carnival cruises out of Jacksonville, FL. That wouldn't be too bad of a drive from SC, either. When I was researching my first, I started with online sites like Expedia and Priceline. That will give you an idea of the different lines and where they cruise from and too. Good luck!
