Shakey Bed!!!!!!!
Well...Did anyone else wake up at 4 something this morning YELLING at someone to STOP shaking the BED??? I literally WOKE UP thinking someone was shaking my BED. When I turned on the light, no one was there, so I figured it was me...muscle spasm or something. Only problem, I couldn't FEEL any muscles freaking out, it was coming from UNDER me, and I couldn't SEE anything odd. Being 4 something in the morning...I went pee, blew it off and right back to sleep I went.
ILLINOIS HAD AN 5.4 EARTHQUAKE at 4:30 this Morning!! I Felt it here In Clinton, IA. I am only 3 hrs. W of Chicago, on the farthest E side of Iowa!

I was wondering who felt it.
I know natural disasters are no fun but I even feel excitment when Hurricane season is at its peak here in Florida.
Cool that you felt it so far away. The news said that even Chicago felt the shak'n.

Is this the first earthquake that you have experienced? Living in CA we get them often, however, we are due a big one since it has been a while.
I don't mind the sharp ones, it is the roller ones that really bother me. They just don't seem to stop rolling for a long, long, long time!
Blessings,

Yep, first time ever for anything "Earth Moving". LOL!!
Which probably explains why I thought it was someone kicking the bed, or a muscle spasm..not an earthquake!! It wasn't anything major, just like someone was lying next to my bed kicking it... It was weird!
Oddly enough, this is the MAIN reason I fear California...I fear Earthquakes! HAHAHA Pretty Ironic huh?

Zen,
If it isn't earthquakes, its floods, tornados, hurricanes, etc. I believe that every state has its own "natural disaster". But I too am afraid of what I have never experienced.
I guess it isn't so frightening when you live in it! Still don't like 'em but have grown accustomed to having them.

Never heard of an earthquake in Illinois... Is it the first time?
I will go check US news on CNN...
Glad you are okay!
