Default Great Thinking

John, this is a wonderful idea. You are quite creative for this site and thank you for this.
I believe that the section you mention does give the individual responsibility just for joining in and being accountable, the supportiveness would add another gift from this TERRIFIC SITE.
Love your idea.

Thanks John,

From what I've heard, this seems like it would be a helpful feature for those that wish to participate. It looks like we should try this feature as a 'pilot' program, with the following features/attributes:
  • This is a serious forum, and will need to have a posted policy about acceptable and unacceptable posts and responses to posts. Many of you mentioned that if you are in a vulnerable position, negative (or 'snipey') comments in a 'confessional' atmosphere must be excluded.
  • This must be an honest, and open atmosphere for those participating
  • This should be limited to registered users of TT,
    • The section will not be indexed by search engines
    • Users not logged into the TT Forum will not be permitted access to view posts
  • We can experiment at first with a few sub-categories, such as:
    • Pre-op meal logs / diets
    • Post-op meal logs / diets
    • Evolving addictions
    • etc?
Does this sufficiently address the concerns presented?

John
John,
These parameters sound perfect. I am happy that 'looky loos' will not have access to ourselves at our most vulnerable. Not being reference able by a search engine is wonderful, and inspires confidence in telling our most scary, 'squishy' weaknesses. You are a stellar soul, and I thank you.

I like the idea myself. I use the daily plate which allows you to track nutritional information and has a journal. It is free.

Great idea john! You are doing amazing things with this board. Truly, you are.

Me, however,.... I will will steer clear of that section as I am a tough love kind of person and probably would wear out my welcome very quickly.

What about the non-food related section? I have no problems with the food issues......its all the other crap that comes up that are loosely related to this tool.....

I was thinking the same thing, the further out you are food isnt the issue, its alcohol, pain killers, diuretics, shopping, sex, and rock n roll!!!

Somedays I truly feel like saying just pass the Vicodin and Vodka and leave me alone, I will find my own happy place. I need a place to speak about vices and dealing without my pals Vic and Vok in my life.

Default Dealing with Life....

I agree.

When was the last time you saw a post from me talking about food , stalls ,
exercise.....etc.

The last two years have been more about "Life" issues.I love it here but feel at times I have don't have much to add.I need support and that is why I stay...even if it is just to read.Keeps me connected.

Reminds me of when I spoke with Trina...we spoke for about 1 1/2 hours and not once did we talk about food.We talked about life.
