Hi Claire in Texas
does this cruise happen every year? Is it for people specific to thinnertimes.com or just in general? Also, just on a personal note, were you nervous getting your surgery? Did you have any complications? I'm in the process of mine currently...I have a endoscopy upper G.I. appointment on wed, then I've done everything required of the doctor so we just submit to insurance after that. I'm feeling nervous though...like especially for this G.I. test...dreading being put to sleep! Anyway, curious if you had a smooth RNY or how your experience was...it looks like you have had amazing success!

Hi Angie!

This was a one-time event in December, that was a year in the planning. Those who came were/are at their goal, and it was fun to compare notes of our journeys, and meet, in person, the friends we have made that were/are so meaningful to our journey. Of course, it was all very gorgeous, too. It was open to anyone.

My journey has been documented in various places, so I think I will answer you via private message so as not to get this thread in a different direction. Your questions, though, are important, and I am honored that you would ask them of me, and I will answer them.

Default T T Cruise

Sounds like such fun! I did a RC Cruise of the Carrib a few years ago-don't forget passports, and sunscreen. Sometimes it is easier or way way cheaper to fly in to Ft Lauderdale Airport, and the cruise line will take you to the ship for free. I Stayed 1 nite in a Lauderdale Ramada, which picked me up free at the airport. Next day I checked out of Lauderdale hotel and they shuttled me back to airport where I met up with the R Carib gang. It is easier than it sounds and can save a lot of money!

It was a fabulous time, the most important part being the sharing of an exquisite trip with people who are traveling this weight loss journey. Pictures are in my signatue line.

I hope so!

What is the MOST fun is for someone to step up while on this weight loss journey, and plan for a trip at the probable goal time for a lot of participants. It is wonderful to meet at that point, feel so proud, and share that pride.

Hello all! Although I wasn't able to go on the cruise with you last November, I was thinking it would be grand if we could organize another.

I posted a new thread about this. If you're interested, see here: Who is interested in another T-T Cruise?

I know this cruise was last year, but are you planning another for this year or any time soon?
