Paul, I'm also glad to see you posting! I send you good wishes, healing thoughts, and prayers, and am very sorry not to meet you and Bernardo in person at this time. I bought a travel-size Italian dictionary and travel-size phrasebook yesterday, so I will brush up on my Italian before meeting Nicola and Andrea on Sunday!

Hello All!!
THought I'd pop in and say hi. Guess where I am??

I'm in Miami!! Wanna see the pictures I took out my hotel window?
THe first one was practice. The person I'm with had to teach me how to use the camera better. I didn't want to listen the first time.

Aren't the lights pretty though?

I am so excited. I can't wait for my new "person" to get here. My person has no idea that I'm waiting for them. hee hee I'm gonna be a surprise sitting here on the pillow. I can't wait!!! A cruising we will go... a cruising we will goooooo.....

Good Day to All,

I am feeling better with tubes that have been removed and being allowed liquid meals today. Bernardo is here with me most of the day and evening, which I am so grateful for as I am a terrible patient.

When I return home and feel a little more energetic I will post photos of TT's family that live here in Carrara with Bernardo and I, there are two cousins and their adopted baby.

Everyone have a great weekend ahead.

Paul

Paul, I am so sorry to hear about your hospitalization...but am so glad that you weren't on vacation when this happened. I've been through an obstruction and revison surgery, so I can relate to what you said, about one day you are full of energy and doing fine, the next, not so much!! Actually, for me, I was feeling great at noon, and by 1pm I couldn't even hold ice/water down! These things do come on so sudden...and have lasting effects! Sounds like they removed the bad stuff, and you are on the fast track to wellness!!! Still, it's a LOT to go through!! I remember doing a lot of crying....(and vomiting)...It was a terrible time!! My thoughts and prayers are with you!!! Get Well Soon! xoxoxo

p.s. Can't wait to see photos from the Cruisers.....Hope you guys are having a blast!! Wish I were there with you!!! Right now it's in the 30's and I'm freezing!!! Brrrrrr!

Oh wow! I'm (almost) speechless! That picture above shows the first thing I saw when I walked into my Miami hotel room. TT is a clever little monkey -- I DID NOT expect that at all. I shrieked and grabbed up an embarrassed TT to give him a HUGE hug. It was like meeting a celebrity! Poor TT didn't seem to understand why I was asking for his autograph -- I guess monkey paws aren't the best for holding ballpoint pens...

Thank you to everyone who helped TT arrange this surprise for me. You guys are the BEST!!!

TT seems to really be looking forward to his first Cruise. We board the ship tomorrow at noon...though I do have one concern -- Toony, by any chance did you teach the little guy to swim??
