Bernardo!
I won't alas be going on the Cruise but I'm a little worried about your travelling with wines: unless you buy your drinks at the Duty Free shop on the flying side, you will probably have them confiscated as handluggage. In your suitcases, I wouldn't trust them to arrive unbroken!!! No liquids is the rule in England... Just wondered...
Best,
Cheers,
Vim

Bernardo, there are areas on the ship where you can smoke. You can't smoke in the cabin, but out on the deck in certain areas, yes. If you want to know which areas, ask Paul to email our cruise rep for specific info.

I'm with Vim as to wine. As much as I would LOVE to share Italian wine with you, I don't think you can travel to this country with it. Here again, i may be wrong - Donald, the cruise rep, will know.

Are you packing yet????

Default Facts and Ideas

Ciao Tutti Amici(Hello all friends),

I was thinking about something and perhaps it has already been discussed or planned, as I have been terrible about reading posts lately. Here is the thought, wouldn't it be great to have photos of ourselves before and current to bring along on the cruise to share?

Bernardo and I were talking the other day and thought perhaps it would be fun to bring some of the Italian wines as well as a sampling of after dinner type drinks. Bernardo and I have been traveling internationally for the past 6 years between Europe and the USA. Each and every time we have come to the USA or returned to Italy we have had anywhere from 5 - 15 bottles of wine and spirits inside our checked luggage. This wont be a problem for us to bring something with us.

We were considering bringing a variety of wine from Italy(Tuscany(red, chianti), local Carrara/Massa(white, Candia), North Italy(white, Mùller Thurgau) and Sicilian(red, Nero D'Avola) and perhaps a grappa and lemoncello). We'll see what we can fit into our luggage. Since we are traveling Internationally we can have 2 checked bags each, however on this trip we are trying for one checked bag each and one carry-on each, we'll see as usually we have clothes that would last a month for 2 weeks. hahaha

Buon fine settimana a tutti. Have a great weekend everyone.

Abbracci e baci.
Hugs and kisses.
Paul

Then you know best, Paul! And by all means, bring wine, and we will have a wine party. On deck! Together! The first night we are on the ship! How's that!?!?

I have indeed asked everyone to bring a before picture, but this is a wonderful reminder!! Won't it be fun to share those with each other!!! We hav all made such delicious progress. I am going to laminate my picture. I just wish I had taken more before pictures. But the one I have says it all.....
