Ot-how Old Is Oooolllllddddd???
My 7 year old daughter is just a delight. She is kind and innocent and tends to be excitable for just about any mundane thing. She's also our little Princess! She is in dance, and has been for the past several years. Each year they have a recital and this year she is VERY excited about the CLASSIC songs they are dancing to. She says to me:
"Oh Mom...the songs are soooooo OLD, you really won't know any of them, they are CLASSICS, I don't even think Grandma & Grandpa will know them".
Being curious, I ask: "So what are the songs your dancing to this year...?"
And here I am...38...with a 7 year old, telling me about the classics!!!
The songs:
1. Rainbow Connection - Muppets
I remember when the movie came out
2. Video Killed the Radio Star
Hello 80's !!
And our FINAL CLASSIC that is WAY TOO OLD FOR ME...
3. You Can't Hurry Love - Phil Collins
My daughter about died when I could sing each and every one of these songs as if I had heard them yesterday!!
Are you feeling YOUNG NOW??

I'm stuck in a time warp - give me the 60's and 70's music - I just sing my little guts out!
I tried pretending that my Mum played those records all the time but I don't think I convinced anyone! lol

How big of a coffin do you need for that 7 year old, sweetie?!
I was walking through an antique mall with my mom when SHE got ME. We're strolling through looking at the old furniture and books and jewelry..you know...antiques (really).
Mom comes around the corner from a toy section, and says, "Hey sweetie...recognize this?!" She was holding a Raggedy Ann doll (not THE one, but one like it) just like I had when I was a little girl. In an antique mall. I am 37 (was 34 or 35 at the time). Karma bit me bit time for making fun of mom being an old lady

Reminds me of my sister coming home from school... she was in 2nd grade and said, "Today was my teacher's birthday... she's either 29 or 92, I can't remember which."
TRUE STORY! LOL!

My son asked me if dinosaurs were alive when I was a kid.... He was lucky he was able to get to his 7th birthday.
