Default Hair Loss Question

Hi folks,

Well, I'm almost 4 months out and in the last 3-4 weeks I've started lossing just a ton of hair. The doctor told me to start on "Maxi-Hair". I haven't seen any difference yet but I'm hopping soon.
My questions are:
1) How many folks out there have had this problem and when can I expect to see the hair loss stop. I've always had very thin hair in front and thank god the loss is coming from the back where my hair is thick.
2) What about "Maxi-Hair"? Does anyone have any comments on the product..... does it really work.

I'm doing so well on the weight loss side and I'm going to the gym 3-4 a week, doing aqua classes and using the bike and elipical and really starting to love it! I feel so much better and so much healthier...I really am starting to feel like a new women!!!!!

Thanks for any suggestions or info.

My hair started thinning at exactly 3 months and I am now coming up on my 8th month post op and it has just now started to quit falling out. I am noticing some new growth as well. My doc urged me to add on a biotin supplement each day. Whether it helped or not I honestly don't know. I went to a shorter cut so it was less thin looking. Good luck I hope it slacks up for you asap.

NIOXIN!!! I have had thinning hair for years and have been using it for the past couple of years now. LOL, I'm pre-op and am afraid of what my hair will look like after surgery, but it is worth it! I'll just keep using my Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and I'll be fine!

This really worries me for two reasons.. 1) I'm already very thin on the top of my head and 2) I, perhaps stupidly, am planning my wedding for 10 months post op (Oct 11th)..

I hope I don't look like a half bald chicken on my wedding day

I have been reading the Syntrax nectar thread and am hoping that by boosting my protein more, getting some biotin supplements and looking into that Nioxen shampoo I can at least minimize the problem some?

I wonder if I'm too late with these remedies
