Talking I Got IN!!

Just a wee bit of patting self on the back....

After being out of HS for 20 years, college for 14, and having been a Stay at Home Mom to my three little demons...I mean angels....I am finally going back into the REAL WORLD!!!

My acceptance letter came last week to inform me that I have been accepted into the Clinical portion of the NURSING PROGRAM! I start in the Fall...with a HELLISH schedule that will leave me about 2 hrs. a week to spend with family. The program is grueling, complicated, and only 40 get in a year!!!!! It should take me two years of blood sweat and tears before I can get out with a degree.

This will make my 2nd degree....I have a Bachelors in Education already. And no....I didn't want to teach!!

I was just really excited, and terrified to start this next phase of my life. When I was thinking about having this surgery is when I decided to change ALL aspects of my life. I have done it all...now my career is the last to change. My body is different, my hair is long, and now I will no longer have to teach in the classroom!! WOOOOOTTTT!!! Lord I love teaching, but I really like this MUCH, MUCH MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I say that now...wait until mid semester next year....I may be singing a different song!)

Ok...Back patting done....

That's the kind of enthusiasm that just radiates joy to all who read it, Zen!
May your dreams be fulfilled, may the hardwork help you know you're worth it and may you become a very empathetic RN, Heck, you've been thru GBS and all this stuff, you've gotta be a caring soul for others who are suffering. I predict you'll be a wonderful RN...May the grueling two years fly by for you. May your family be patient and give you the breaks you need.
I wish you all the best.

Don't pull any muscles with all that patting! Here, let me help, pat pat...I am so excited for you...I have considered going back to college, but still don't know what I want to do when I grow up...'pampered princess' just doesn't exist on any of the job descriptions I've seen
