Be careful with publishing something like this, though. I know several recipes that I've posted in the recipe section and that others post come from other sites. I don't know the legalities of publishing something that comes from another source, you might have to pay royalties or something. A lot of the things I use come from Susan Maria's Before and After page and she has her own business and publishes her own books. She might not give permission to reuse her recipes for something like this. Just a thought. Don't want to be a downer, but you have to be careful with such things.

Thanks Tanya. I've been through the copyright process a few times for other publications.
Mere listings of ingredients as in recipes, formulas, compounds or prescriptions are not subject to copyright protection. However, where a recipe or formula is accompanied by substantial literary expression in the form of an explanation or directions, or when there is a combination of recipes, as in a cookbook, there may be a basis for copyright protection.
U.S. Copyright Office - Recipes
I think one way we can get around this is to type your recipes from scratch with your own title, twist and to write your OWN descriptions of the preparation, what your friends and family thought of it, etc.
Even though people might take credit for creating the dishes we all love today - someone did it before them, and someone before them.

What a terrific idea! I'm pre-op, too, and look forward to such a cookbook.
I'm a retired technical editor (and I've published my share of cookbooks, too) -- if you need editorial/copyediting/proofreading help, shoot me a PM!

hehehe...well I'm game but I also had the same concern as Tonya. A lot of the recipes that I have posted have come from the Susan Marie site but not all of them. I do have some of hers that I have done with variations of them too so I guess then they wouldn't exactly be hers.
I'm sure I could dig out 3 recipes to share.

I have been begging Beth to write a cookbook for how long? This would be terrific. Thank Tooly for offering up your time and your resources to do this - amazing contribution to this site. Since you want the proceeds to go back to this site, you may want to also contact John Callery (the sites administrator, and son of our beloved Dr. Callery) to see how the proceeds can benefit the site.
How exciting is this?!
