Default When do the Wow's stop?

After another morning of wow's (again shopping related, I am such a girl) I began to ponder the point in time when the wow's stop. How much of a letdown that could be? Will it be a letdown? Is there a point when you "Old Timer's" just stop being amazed? I want to be prepared for that. Not let it hurt the rush I am riding right now.

Today I determined I need some new jeans. I put on a 48 (remember is was in a 62 in November) and SWMBO said - Jim those are too big. Put on the 46's. So I did, and I swear, I heard angelic chorus's of Hallelujah when that button easily closed on my ever shrinking waist line.

We also made our weekly trip to the good will, I found a beautiful 70% Silk Tommy Bahama shirt (fits perfect) for $3.99 and found a real nice Black Coach Bag for SWMBO - ahhhhem, cough, cough, $19.99. Sorry, she is keeping it.

I don't ever want the wow's to stop. I wish I could bottle these feelings and sell them!

You know what - you get to the point when you think the wows are all over and then bam! - from nowhere something hits you like a train and bowls you over. I hope they never ever stop - they just get a little less frequent.

My most recent one was a few days ago when I went into a clothing store and picked up this beautiful top - it was a size 12 - and the shop assistant came over and said to me - you've got the wrong size there love - try this one - and it was an 8! And even scarier - it fits!

Of course I had to buy it - even if it was £30!

Just like Mindy, I can hardly wait for my WOW moments to begin. Still waiting for doc's to submit paperwork to Center so that they can submit to insurance. Sheesh!

May you and Sandy always experience WOW's in your WLS journies!

Yep, I'm awaiting "the wow" moments too! But sometimes just reading the wows of others gets me so psyched! I believe I honestly AM happy for Jim in those 46 inch pants (I still have three pairs in my closet awaiting my reduction from my current 52 in. waist) And I'm even happy Shereeks bought that size 8 top that she probably deserves, no matter what the cost...but I think success breeds success and your joys and successes inspire the rest of us! Life would be hell without an occasional Wow Moment, don't you think?! I mean, for many of us, isn't that what Easter's all about?!

Thanks, Olga! Have a Blessed Easter! I've been writing a Good Friday sermon most of the day, and with the snow, I'm wondering who's going to show up, especially since we had a great crowd last night...Oh well, if 2 or 3 are gathered...you know the story.

Jim, all I can tell you that at 2+ years I'm stilling having those WOW's. I'm still psyched every time I can slip into a size 6 pants or the small scrubs at work. I still find myself holding them up wondering if I can REALLY fit into them even though I've been doing it for the past 7 months and I get this little thrill when they slip on so easy.

Even though I haven't experienced so many new WOW's I keep re-experiencing the past ones...and so far, they never really get old...they just get finer with age.
