Jim, I don't know when the wow moments stop, I got my girdle off from TT and am finding myself going to our full length mirror over and over completely blown away. I am wearing jeans at 34 waist and a 16 shirt. I must have been a little boy when I last wore anything this small.

Bill,A new pastor was assigned to a little country parish.
The third week or so, they had a huge blizzard. That Sunday only one parishioner showed up for Mass. When it came time for the homily, the priest said to the lone farmer in the pew, "well Fred, should I brother preaching today?"
Fred responed,"Father, If only one of my sheep came to feed, I would still feed him."
Being encouraged by Fred's enthusiasm, the pastor went preached a three hour sermon. When he was finished he said to the farmer, "Well Fred, what d'ya think?"
Fred thought for a moment and said "If only one of my sheep showed up to feed, I wouldn't give him the whole damned load".

worried about the wows
I personally have a hard time with complements. I know not good. So I am worried about the wow facter. I really don't like the attention. But I do like the shopping.
Does anyone have any advise as to how to act when people make a big fuss out of my weight loss? Maybe just a thank you will work.
I had surgery 11 days ago and am now 17 pounds lighter from pre liquid diet. my pants are getting baggy, but I do miss texture in my food. The Dr. says Monday I can eat puree food. Yum!

Kathy, just a simple thank you is all you really need to give. I know for myself I look at it as a gift given to me by another. What do you say when someone gives you a gift? I say "thank you".

Wows never stop, Jim. You wake up not sore? Wow. I sleep at night because my fat isn't trying to strangle me. Wow. We're given life every day, and **wow** I can actually enjoy it!! Every time I sail over a jump riding horses its a wow for me...couldn't do that at 275...sheesh - I would have broken the poor thing's back!
Sometimes we don't se them because we go through life and what once was a wow becomes something we take for granted. I don't want to forget where I came from because I don't ever want to go back there again, so bottom line is that living life is a wow for me because so much of it passed me by before...

I'm documenting my "WOWS" so that I can go back and read 'em... I only have a few so far, but they're coming!
BILL: we had Ash Wednesday services cancelled due to snow - and again today with Good Friday... how ironic, huh? Thinking of you...

I only show the pannus on Thursday evenings at 10:42 CST. You and I just happened to be skypeing at exactly that time and I just had to. It is a family tradition that goes back to my great=grandparents. We have always shared our pannus wth each other. Sorry, I can't get over it!
