I have experienced the same type of thing from people before my surgery. Over time I realized that some people just don't know what they are talking about and others can actually be jealous that you are taking steps to improve your life. Either way, your life is yours and you should be proud of yourself that you are doing something to make it better. Never forget: you are worth it!

Ever since I found out last week this was definitely going to happen, the only time I have been "down" at all was over the weekend when my DD and a girlfriend of mine (who had RNY over 2 yrs ago) went clothes shopping - for them. I saw some cute stuff in my size and wanted to get them, but decided it wasn't worth spending the $ on them at the moment.... s'ok - I know all the cute stuff I will eventually get into-I was just having a self pity party for a moment. besidese, we're also in the process of buying a house so I don't need to spend money on clothes that will only fit for a few more weeks yet, right? (I'll save that for the smaller sizes that won't fit for long!)

Shopping will be much more fun in a few months. I use to hate it, but now I LOOOOOOOOOVE it!

I'll even try stuff on at the store now when I was 300+ I wouldn't.
