Debbie...can I just say that it's a pleasure to see you back and posting again. I love to read your comments as you are such a beautiful writer and so clearly paint a picture with your words. So you know, I agree...I think having surgery for us means that it switches OFF the 'censor' button on other people. Oddly, I don't think they do it to be offensive...they are just so curious that they forget what being 'polite' is all about. Suddenly, everyone is your BFF and wants to know the intimate details of your life and struggle. It's surreal to be sure.
Thanks for the chuckle...and again...It's good to see your face again. How about a new Avatar??

Zen, thanks so much for your lovely words and encouragement. You are, too, one of my fav posters. I'm also happy for the reminder that the people in our lives, who love us, do not really mean to be rude or intrusive. My family has been very supportive for the most part.
Hey, you asked and I delivered a new pic. Don't know how I got it over here by my name, but what the heck, eh?
Good to talk to ya.

You look marvelous
Hey Debz,
I don't have anything further to add to the 'y' chromosome conversation other than what's already been said, so instead I'll just mention how good it is to see you back posting and that your new picture looks amazing! Congrats on your success!!
Hugs,
Kimberly

Goal! I did it!
105 pounds gone since my RNY
119 total pounds gone forever!
I finally have a "normal" BMI
Reached my first goal of 145...and setting a new one of 135.
Reached 135 and have decided to lose another five if I can.
I'm in the 130's for the first time since puberty!

Oh I was told by one guy (boy) "Damn what'd you do to look that sweet" My response was "I been sweet, just that now I'm sweeter".
I learned how to deal with ignorance when I was overweight, so it really doesn't bother me too much now.
