I don't have a preference either - I've left Claire to do all my choosing.
I am SO excited about getting to spend time with some of my TT family. This is going to be a riot!

Folks, keep in mind that if you are even considering this cruise, you may want to get on the list. A commitment as to a deposit won't be needed until 30 days before the cruise. THAT will be when you have to say yes or no for sure.
If you think you might, tell me, and I'll put you on the list. I want to be sure I commit for enough cabins, because if I only do the "for sures" now, then later the space may not be available.
Right now it's the Ft. Lauderdale departure,378, that looks like the winner. I am allowing until Tuesday until the commitment is made.
Consider the number of stars on the ship (look at the link) - that will tell you the level of amenities. 4.5 or 5 is excellent - and it accounts for that cruise being a bit higher in cost than, for example, the cruise we had looked at from Galveston which was only 3.5 stars. Big difference in the level of enjoyment potential.

Claire,
To clarify, still 50/50 maybe, but as long as departure is from Miami I don't mind the destination. If other than Miami, flights from London will be even more prohibitive - about $900 return flight as it is, without the cruise.
Thanks for keeping us updated very well so far!

Vime, look into renting a car from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami (one way). It could be worth it to do that instead of flying into Miami. Just a thought.

The nice thing about Ft Lauderdale is that it is a Southwest Hub. So cheap flights abound. Vim check on flying into JFK and transfering to southwest> It way be cheaper. Just a thought.

Thank you Claire, thanks Jim - good and worthy recommendations! Who knows, IF I can come over in the first place, I might even go to St Louis or Seattle...
At the moment one our major discussions is visiting my brother in China - I'm protesting against the lack of sino-tibetan human rights, but I do so much want to see my brother... Other balls up in the air too, the outcome of which affect my intended participation of the TTF Cruise!
Best,
Vim
