Sorry to all of you that were looking forward to this. I couldn't get the right contact info to get things started up, and then I just kind of forgot.
I am getting back on top of planning this event, and wanted to run the $$ side by you all. Keep in mind that this does not translate into cash for TT, but is just to cover the cost of putting this on:
If we could get 20-30 people to come, and charge $20-$40/person, we could possibly get the following:
- Club house rental (huge kitchen, sitting areas, great ambiance)- $100
- WLS Food Specialist - Donna Wolf (home)
- Her group fees on the web site are listed at $60/person, so this would be much less
- Includes cost of food
- Includes recipes and other goodies
Essentially, she teaches you to cook good healthy foods, and you also get to try them all at the same time.
I couldn't guarantee that we would be able to get the rates noted above, but I could talk to her about getting it lower if we have plenty of people. My dad said that she's really a great resource and instructor, and I think there is a lot that people could get out of something like this.
(I'm doing my best to keep expenses low, because I know that pocket books are really strained as it is from the slowed economy...)
