Bilirubin - is basically red blood cells that have been destroyed, either by the body or by natural death in the gall bladder. They are normally passed through the urine and out of the body. High counts in the urine can indicate problems with the liver, however it could also mean the gallbladder isn't functioning correctly. This may be a case of a secondary problem, something completely outside the scope of your bypass, it's not necessarily related. However, don't freak out yet. This like many things can be defined with further testing. Best wishes, and try not to worry yourself too much...

I honestly dont know what went wrong, but yes me being very malnutriend played a part of i know....like i said in another thread they wanted to do alot of testing on me to find out why the surgery did not work for me,you know being a ginnie pig...no thanks though, enough is enough for me. And I feel 90% better and on too another road for me which is mainting my weight, and to me that is enough. Good luck ....Laura
