Default Three months out with the Bear

Well I have reached the three month point. I am currently 80lbs lighter. I have gone from a size 44 to size 36 in my waist. I have gone from 3x to Xtra Larges fitting me loose. It is a nice feeling, dealing with dress shirts still sucks. I had to bite the bullet and have my pants altered. To at least get me to the Spring.. Then I guess I will do some more shopping. So many things that people told me early on were right on the money. I lost a ton of weight the first three months. I am not really ever hungry, though I know when I need food… or think I do. Drinking was not a problem after the first month. Water tastes good now. I do not miss caffeine. I freeze. Dear God I freeze and hate it. I want to make a point to you all especially now as it is SO COLD out. I really enjoyed my evening walks, but I hate the thought of going outside. The house thermostat is set to 70 and I wear sweaters and long johns under my sweat pants in the evenings. The cold NEVER bothered me like this. So, I guess I need to go to the gym where it is warmer.. blah.

So, just like I have read over and over again, right in the middle of my third month IT STARTED… hair loss *cry* Now keep in mind, my hair was thinning anyway, but seeing your hair in the shower and on the sink after getting ready in the morning is a bit disturbing. Actually it sucks.. then of course Dave says.. oh it looks like your losing hair.. I was like, “yeah I know I am thinning..” He says, “Um no… I mean you are losing it..” Don’t you hate hearing that LOL
Either way, I mention it to my neighbors and they were like, “Well yeah we noticed it last week but did not want to upset you!” HATE! LOL

God love them. It will grow back.. It will. Right? Well of course I called the doctor’s office this morning and they told me about the vitamins and the hair products to use etc blah blah.. It is to be expected.. don’t panic.. Hate!

So, what else is new? Oh the Annual Bari Ball is coming up. Our WLS office has it annually. It is a formal affair with snacks, drinks, etc.. It is a chance for everyone to show off their new appearances. They even have a professional photographer etc. Should be fun. I was not going to go dressed up, but since it also happens to be our 10 year anniversary and being that I got nothing for Valentines… MAJOR HATE… I think I will dress it up. So we will see.
Well there. I had to share some of the hate, but you know it is all in jest. Life is too short to sweat the silly stuff. Holidays are man made. Hair loss is temporary(it better be!), but love endures all!

The original bear! (HATE)

Gwen, the "HATE" thing is a BBJeff thing...

I think he's just emphasizing the things he isn't too happy with...

JEFF: has it only been THREE MONTHS???? WOW, I hope my journey is so successful!

Default Love to the Bear!

Jeff, you are my TT brother and I'm always happy to read one of your posts, even one that describes the loss of your hair! It will grow back - everyone told you it would fall out, and it has, and everyone's telling you it will grow back, and it will - our TT family is the voice of experience on this and many things! Plus, for at least a while, you can challenge your husbear to the title of Sexiest Bald Man Alive! (Hate!)
