Magic Bullet on-line order gone bad
Okay, I feel somewhat duped. On-line the magic bullet was offering a two for one special. I bought the 2-4-1 pre-surgery and the first machine (after about 2 weeks) started smoking... not good! The second machine, now after about 6 months, is leaking....
Has anyone else had these problems with this blender? If not, what blender are you using? I, obviously, need to get a new blender for my protein/yogurt shakes I make in the morning but I'm surely hesitant to buy another Magic Bullet (and I honestly thought this was the best thing ever made when I first got it!). I'm getting sick of hand blending my morning shakes - they just don't taste the same and I'm anxious to try that peanut butter smoothie that Beth posted a long time ago in the recipes section.
So, please let me know what you are using - would you recommend it? Would you buy it again? I'm going shopping this weekend!
Thanks all! Hugs,
Kimberly

Oh wow. I have had my magic bullet for almost 2 years and no issues (other than the handle breaking off one of the cups). Have you contacted the company to see about replacements? Is there a manufacturers guarantee?

To be totally honest I have a magic bullet and so does my mom and we've never had that problem with either of them. I'd call the company and find out what you can do because that just really seems odd for 2 of them to go bad like that. One thing that may be the issue, although I have no clue really, is if you're doing things that are too thick for the motor and are burning it out. Maybe add a little bit more fluid to whatever you're blending when you do get your new blender just to make sure it's not too taxing for the motor.

I have to say I was not impressed with the MB at all. The motor was not powerful enough, no matter what I was putting in it....unless I was trying to make salsa and then it just pureed everything. I would not buy another one...I threw the one I had out when we moved.
My dream blender is a Vita-Mix...but at over $300 it can remain a dream. My dad has one and it's absolutely amazing.

I own a Vita-Mix and 2 Magic Bullets. Between SWMBO and Myself (The Lesser Man) The Bullet gets used 6-7 times per day. The Vita-Mix gets used Zero, Zip, Zilch, Nada! At Hundreds of dollars for the Vita-Mix and $49.00 for the Magic Bullet - just complain to the manufacturer, they will make it right.

Love my Magic Bullet!! I don't know how others can stand drinking the protein supplements WITHOUT it!!!
I have to admit that it doesn't have alot of power...but enough to accomplish what I need. And the kids love to use it to make smoothies too.

My mom and I both love our bullets! I have had mine for over a year with no problems. Definitely call the manufacturer!

We've had a Magic Bullet in the closet for two years. I've never opened the box! Maybe I should get that sucker out and take it for a test drive! (I use a hand blender and it works fine...I think I paid $8 for it!)
