The accident is truely awful and when it happens so close it is extremely heartbreaking. I send my thoughts and wishes to all those who have lost or injured family members. Like some others have said it is heart moving when I read about young people being killed or dying and the information that has come from this accident is being kept pretty minimal on the International news scene. Support will come from all over the world and in time the healing will happen. Please keep us posted.

Hello everyone and thank you all for the prayers! Not much more information this morning. They have not released names yet. Four children have now died. Apparently, the bus was traveling down the rural highway and a van coming across the highway hit the bus broadside, tipping it over onto a pickup truck.

Cars stopped immediately and the bus driver was handing kids out as fast as he could. It was about 5 below zero with a pretty major wind chill, so people were loading the kids into their cars to keep them warm.

I'm sure we'll hear this morning who was killed, but one thing that was released is that one of the volunteer firemen who responded was the parent of one of the children who died. I just can't even imagine what the families must be going through. I think the person who needs prayers more than anyone else is the driver of the van who caused the accident. I don't know how I could get through the day if I had been responsible for something like this.

Thank you all again for your kind thoughts and prayers.
-Mike-

OMG, Mike - that his horrible about the volunteer firefighter. Thank God for the people who stopped and helped the bus driver get the kids off the bus and into warm cars.

I will be praying for all the people affected. May they all heal emotionally and physically

What a horrible tragedy. My prayers go out to the families....and especially the man who came to help and found out about his loss the hardest way possible.
