Default Warning, OT, Long post, lots to say!!!!!

Well, first off, I went to Lake Tahoe with 3 girlfriends of mine from work this weekend. We won a trip on the radio which included a busride to and from Lake Tahoe, a free room, 2 lift tickets to Heavenly Ski resort, party at Caba Wabo (Sammy Hagar's place) and a VIP pass to get into Vex's nightclub! It was pretty fun!!! Of course we drank, danced, stayed out too late, but it was very fun!!! We met some really nice guys there. Of course they were young, but so nice, and respectful. They thought I was a riot! It's easy to be funny and cute when you know you are old, out having fun, and aren't looking to pick up anyone!!! I have no interest in making out with other guys. I love my hubby, children, cats, house, etc. I'm not even in the mood for the single life. My friends however, are younger, and yes, they did make out with some of the nice boys we met! They don't think kissing is cheating...but then again, one of them in 27, the other 35, and the other 38. Whatever floats your boat I guess. I've been drinking Carafate before trip, and today, just to protect my pouch from the tequila I ingested. (and a few other things)
I did take photos with a disposable camera, so I will put up some drunken photos soon!

Luckily, I stopped and got groceries on my way home yesterday. Even in my delerious state, I managed to get everything we needed! (Thank you Starbucks for giving me the energy to do that). I knew I'd need an extra day off, so had requested today off a long time ago! Good thing, because I woke up this morning with a nice sore throat and cough...with chest congestion to boot!!! Damn Good times! I have a whole bottle of left over cough syrup (promethw/codeine) from last year when I was sick, which is still good, so I just downed a teaspoon of that!!! My first cold of the New Year...that didn't take long! That's what I get for partying like a Rock Star! Mama is too old for that lifestyle. So, here I sit, in my kittysack, warm and toasty, happy to be home again!!!! By the way, I got up around 1am with the sore throat and cough..so I put on my kittysack, got up and had a SF fudgesicle, then left the sack on over my sweats and shirt, and woke up all warm and toasty! (I had electric blankets on as well). Well, that's my exciting news...just wanted to check in and update you!!

I wonder why it is I can drink margarita's and not dump?? Spooky......
Have a good day everyone!!! xoxoxo

Sounds like that was a fun trip, and even better that it was free. Did you ski or snowboard? I tried to snowboard once and lets just say I ended up walking down the hill.
OH yeah I'm 35 and think that kissing someone else is cheating, so not all the "young" people feel that way.

Heck yea! Kissing is cheating all the way. I don't see how anyone could think otherwise!

I'm 'iffy' on the kissing is cheating question, I guess it depends on was it one or was it continuous? Continuous - yeah, it's cheating. One, well, it could happen but it's not a great idea. Come to think of it... if my BF did it and it was 'just one', I'd have to kill him.... so, I guess I changed my mind.

You and I are the same on the 'drinks' front, I don't dump on Grand Cosmos either... wonder why?

Sounds like you had a well deserved fun weekend. Hope you get over the cold and are feeling better soon.

Glad you had a good time!

PS: Kissing is cheating- unless you're kissing a relative!
PPS: I don't dump on Kamikazes or Black Russians either, but wine kills me!

Well I am only a year older then your friends and I will tell you that cheeting is cheeting even if it is a kiss. I do not understand it. I know a lot of people who cheet but I am so in love with my partner I can not even imagine wanting to cheet on him. I do not want to kiss someone else ever again. No one can make me feel the way he does so what is the point and it only hurts you and your partner later. You made the right choices.

Default Glad you had fun!

Sounds like a wild time-- glad you were safe and had fun.
Kissing someone else? yuckee. I wouldn't want my DH to kiss someone else, and I would NOT kiss someone else.
But, maybe Tahoe is like Vegas, and what happens there, stays there?

Naaaaa!

So you a "ski-bunny"?? I personally can't ski and haven't tried snowboarding...and that isn't necessarily a bad thing! LOL Glad you had fun and were able to use the freebies from the radio station! Always a good feeling!

Glad you were a "good" girl. I'm old fashioned and agree that kissing is cheating...if's it something you'd "kill" your significant other over...than it's cheating! LOL

I don't ski or snowboard....I am too chicken!! When I lived in Maine and NH I did like to ice skate and snowmobile, but that's about as much outdoor adventure as I can handle. We did go to the mountain, looked at it, talked about maybe renting an inner tube, but then we thought better of it since we were already hung over and sleep deprived! So, we ended up walking around, looking at the shops, getting Starbucks, and then went back to the hotel room and hung out! I watched some of the X-games on tv, while trying to nap, I think that counts!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the kissing thing as wrong.
I thought it was because I was old!!! Glad to know the "youngins" agree with me about that!!! I'd feel so guilty if I did that...and if my husband did that, I'd be VERY angry. I have too much love and respect for him...and myself. I really don't think my other friends are in happy relationships...(apparantly)! My first marriage wasn't good for me...and I did kiss other guys before leaving him, so I guess I'm guilty too! I was young and foolish!!! I knew it was wrong then, but didn't care, because I knew I was on my way out of that marriage. My marriage is solid with Sam...I guess that's the difference.

Well, I just took some more cough medicine, had some chicken soup, and am heading back to lay down and watch the soaps. Have a good rest of the day everyone!!! Type to ya later!!!!!!!
