What Are Our Occupations? And Pastimes?
So, what do we all do for a living???
How do we enjoy spending our free time???
I am a translator/interpreter and since the last ten years also a genealogist. I have set up my own business establishing, running and maintaining "home offices" for wealthy socialites who haven't got a clue how to look after their paperwork!
Property renovation and restoring antique tapestries are my hobbies. It is only through supreme effort that I exercise, but since becoming Gym Rat #70 post surgery I am slowly enjoying movement!
I look forward to your descriptions!
Cheers,
Vim

Chippendales Dancer
No really - I am a Sales Account Manager for the States of Nebraska, the eastern half of South Dakota and Iowa in the Energy Services Division of a Major International Conglomerate. I don't normally mention the name of the company but We do bring Good Things to Life. I have all the Power Plants in those states with GE equipment.
Hmmmm - Pasttimes - I like to Flyfish, Travel, Collect Wine, Gemstones and rough gems along with rockhounding, collect and restore vintage razors. I like to read.

Well I graduated from UTSA last month with a degree in Education. I did not get state certified to teach cause that would take another year. We are military and were supossed to be leaving Feb 4th for Japan. But because of my surgery they cancelled it two wks ago. So now I have a degree but am not licensed to teach. So for now....my career/schooling is on hold while we decide what we are going to do or rather where we are going. I am a proud mommy of 5 year old twins...a boy and a girl.
In my spare time I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, playing poker, music and traveling.

I work for IBM as a security analyst. My job is to sit at home all day, in front of a computer, and make the lives of fellow IBM'ers miserable by exposing risks in their computer security. And since I used to be on their side of the table, and been on the receiving end of a few brutal awakenings, I do tend to enjoy this job quite a bit, although I shouldn't.
For downtime, I enjoy collecting cigars, spending time with my four boys (and the wife ), and my black lab Bella and golden retriever Molly. Besides trying to exercise and lose weight, I don't have time for much else.

No doubt - I always think of Chris Farley in the SNL skit with Patrick Swayze. When my close friends introduce me to family and friends, it seems that my buds Parents always ask how we met - I usually answer at the Chippendales Club or I sell them their drugs. Always makes me popular.

Once again - great Thread Vim!!!
Hi there Vim
You must have read my mind - I'm also trying to get to know the Peeps better - have a look at my Thread (probably started within seconds from yours):
If you really knew me.....
Here are my answers:
I am a Paralegal in a Solicitor's (Lawyer/Attorney) office and I work in the Conveyancing Department, dealing with people that are buying/selling their residential properties. I enjoy my job but dream of a life on the countryside (France/Italy/Greece) tending to some animals and growing something
In my spare time I (we) renovate large properties and then turn them into professional house shares for multinationals coming to the UK on placement contracts = 2 of these up and running and dreaming of the next one
PS: Vim - if you ever need a PA let me know - your business sounds interesting
PPS: Jim - if you need a "wardrobe lady" let me know
PPPS: Rappaport - your job sound like fun - I have a little "evil" side to my personality and can just imagine what you get up to - and oh yes - please come and introduce yourself to the BearClan I believe you have been named RappoBear :-)

I, too, have wondered this.
I teach reading to high school students who have fallen through the cracks. Most of them read on about the 3rd grade level. I am also pursuing my doctorate in literacy studies.

I was a hair stylists for 8 years, liked it and it paid for college.I began working in retail part time for extra money and some how have worked my way up from "suzy part timer" to General Manager.
I spent 5 years @ B & N, 8 years with Bath & Body Works and Victoria's Secret (Both GM's)and about 19 months ago..Levi's recruited me to be a GM here in SFL.
I enjoy what I do.
Off time~ I enjoy cleaning my home.I clean something every night
I enjoy reading Hook & twist type fiction.I sun bathe and swim in the pool year round.
