Anybody else listening to Amy Winehouse lately. I cannot stop. Her stylings, voice, I just cannot put her CD away. Her song rehab isn't even closest to being the best on the CD. Holy Crap - I love this music.

Yep I have it on my itouch, from itunes and I burnt a CD for my car and the SUV! Both my hub and I like it, its different and reminds me of Ella Fitzgerald! Well worth getting from itunes for $7.99!

She sounds so old school. Like from the 40's or something. I hope she can pull it together. She's a true talent and it's sad to see her struggle. I *think* she might be back in the studio??? I don't know for sure. She went BLONDE! Her hair was so black before. Quite the change.

I was at the gym this morning and thinking about how I'm going to reply to the other thread where Manda asked what was on your iPod for the gym when I thought: I wonder if my brothers and sisters across the waters know about Amy?

IMHO - I don't think we've seen talent like this for many many years and I feel so sad everytime I see her on the front of all the crappy magazines over here

I agree Jim, Rehab is not by far the best song on this album - I wonder how her previous album(s) are? Any reviews?

Amy made an appearance in the gym thread too. I just got done blabbing on over there. Amy hit it big her with Rehab and then exploded. Was her first album Frank? I only own Back to Black and I honestly think she should take her own advice. Have you seen the blonde fried hair? lol

Do you know if she's recording again?

I just got her album "Frank" but I've not listened to it yet...for sure this week!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE her--my favorite song right now is "You Know I'm No Good." It has one of the best lines in it..."Then sniff me out like I was Tanqueray"

She's just AWESOME!

I had her pegged between Billy Holiday and Eartha Kitt. Edgy voice and a 50's jazz feel. I love her music and her lyrics cut right to the soul. No BS lyrics - all not sweet and pretty.
