This is unbelievable!!!
I find the friendships that have been formed on the TT Forum absolutely amazing and feel so grateful that I'm a part of this great place!!!
I feel "warm and fuzzy" everytime I open this thread and I thank you ALL for that

Now that I've gotten up the gumption to ask, I have no idea of a name. I don't have a totem. I love watching the birds in my backyard. (You know, the ones the squirrels steal...errrrr...borrow from?) I think my favorite is the chickadee: small, bright, bold. On the other hand, I have always said that someday, when I get down to a normal weight, I would finally get a tattoo: a phoenix rising from the ashes. (Yup, like Dumbledore's.)
Please and thank you!

I feel especially honoured that you're joining us CeeCee (I love reading your "Adventures") and although CeeCeeBear has a nice ring to it, I think that the symbolism of PhoenixBear would be stunning - go for it Girl - which one would you rather be?

I haven't been able to get you out of my head since you've posted THAT photo and I think you should be the RedBear - you're one redhot mama in that latest photo of you with the cups......

The Bear thing started for me with the original three (Jeff, Mike and Jim) - I just enjoyed and appreciated their funloving upbeat posts and have always had an appreciation for an attractive man (men) Then Jerry (Donny) became honorary member when he created "the hairstyle" Then I realised that they had other "fans" and Katie (Toony) became the first girlbear - the rest is history.....
Jen you're actually a very special Bear to me personally - you were the first person to respond to my intro post and I will never forget how you Lynda, Jeanie, Marty and Andie were the original welcoming committee when I first joined
Jip - that Gonna be a Bear has been on my notice board for two years now - received it in an e-mail and I so related
So, I would be honoured if you would join the Clan of the Cave Bear as JenBear or if you have another preferred name?

Oh dear!
Well, CeeCeeBear sounds so...comfy, cozy...safe...
PhoenixBear sounds daring...a bit spicy, a little hot...definitely a bit outside my comfort zone...
Oh hell! I'm turning 50 this year! I choose...
PhoenixBear!

YES! Being that I live in Phoenix I love it. Perhaps someday you can hibernate here for the winter. It's lovely this time of year

MandaPanda,
The pix were a little bit hard to focus on, but the panda one looks like a Grateful Dead dancing bear! That also reps a great bear...but then I love anything Grateful Dead. I still cry when I see pictures of Jerry or interviews with him. They were the greatest most diverse band ever, and I miss them every single day.

CeeCee, I love this idea...and I'm sure it has nothing to do with my own phoenix tattoo...LOL! In my mid-20's, I went through a period of about 3 years of truly awful luck, depression, many challenges, etc., (and hey, got really fat too, imagine that!) and then I finally put my foot down and said, "no more badness!" and decided that the phoenix was my new inspiration. Rising from the ashes, indeed! I agree with all the people who said tattoos are addictive -- I now have 8!! I want one to symbolize my WLS journey, too. Just need to decide what that is.
While I'm taking this TTForum break from work, I couldn't resist snapping a few cell phone photos of some of my ink. I even went the distance of hiding in my work bathroom stall and stripping a bit to get the ones on my shoulders. Naughty! So, here are my phoenix (2003), cougar/mountain scene (1997?) (hard to photograph), fairy and celtic knot (my brother and father have more masculine versions of the knot) 2001(?), and my first tattoo of dolphins/sun (1994).
