Flu or Stricture
Okay Peeps. For the last three days everything I eat comes up. (I ate a few bites of corn chowder on Wed) I thought maybe it was just something I ate and pouch was mad. I ran into a paramedic Saturday while out with my family. He said that it could be the flu but to amke an appointment with my doc just in case. ( eating lunch at the mall Immediaitly after I ate I got sick. ( vomiting) I came home and couldn't keep anything in. Again I thought it was just the pouch being nasty. I got up went to church ate snack with my Sunday school class ( got sick) see the pattern? No fever as of right know had a slight on earlier took some tylenol. No matter what goes in ( unless its fluid) comes right back up. My question is do I get concerned that it maybe a stricture or do I wait it out and see if its the flu? Help me please. Oh yeah other symptoms include chest pain until I vomit, chills, weakness and tiredness.

I say you've already waitied, you did say it's been 3 days. Now you need to see your doctor. No matter what it is, it needs to be evaluated. Good luck and keep us posted.

Didn't know you've strictured before. Yes, go to the ER if you have to. Sorry you are miserable. Take care and let us know what happens.

Good that you are going to the doc tomorrow. Does it feel the same as the first stricture?
Take the next 24 hours very carefully...try popsicles, teaspoons of water.
Take Care

Desi... your cyber momma (no, not her real momma) is worried about you... You have a lot on your plate, but put yourself first for once... and don't risk getting dehydrated and even sicker... Are you getting fluids down? Do they stay down? Like others have asked, does this feel like your other stricture? Do you have a fever? Chills?
Worried about you!!!

This will be stricture number 4 if indeed thats what it is. Lsa, It s similar to the other strictures being that at first I was unable to keep in food then the fluids became a struggle. Milk has become an issue. The more I wait it out the more it feels a stricture and my husband feels that is what it is. The doctor did say thats its possible I would get another one. I was just hopeing I was over that stump. I see him tomorrow. Ironically it was an already scheduled appointment. I will keep you all posted. I'm get ready for bed now. I know its early but I am sooooooooo sick.

Fluids I am getting down. Slowly but surely. If I sip them or as Lisa said use a teaspoon to get them in then they stay but I can't gulp them. No fever but chills right before I vomit. Its horrible. My husbands at work but he will be on his way shortly.
