Simone, there were many Californians on our ship, and a number of them that I spoke to had takent he same cruise on that ship several times. I thought that was so intereesting!

Tips:

Good but pretty walking shoes/sandals.

Book land excursions BEFORE the time of the cruise (or you will be in long lines on the ship,a nd may not get what you want). Your travel agent will point you to where you can see what is offered and you will be able to book them on line.

Much to do or not do on the ship. Lots of choices for every port as to land excursions. If you want to dress up, that works. If not, that works. I liked being a little bit funky! Everybody's different. Bring several bathing suits (they don't dry well, for some reason). The hot tub is medicinal, therapeutic and fun (I was in it every morning! Sometimes more than once a day!).

Stay away from the elevator - take the steps I think we took the elevator maybe twice the entire time, and we frequently went from the 4th to the 8th to the 11the deck, back down, back up, etc. Great exercise without hitting the gym. I intended to go to the gym, but preferred to hang out with my DH, who had no interest in the gym, but joined me on the steps.

I lost two lbs on the cruise! And I ate (never stuffed myself,t hough). Stopped when If elt full.

HAVE FUN! I see another cruise in my future in 2008!
