1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? wrapping paper - I love making the sharp corners along the edge of the package...

2. Real tree or artificial? real tree...love the scent of pine in the house

3. When do you put up the tree? When the Christmas spirit jumps all over me, and not a minute before.

4. When do you take the tree down? December 26th... by that time, I'm sick of Christmas.

5. Do you like eggnog? not really...

6. Favorite gift received as a child? My mother made stuffed whales for me and my sister--she cut them out of towels (that she got free in boxes of detergent, we were very poor), sewed them together at the edges, and stuffed them with anything she could find around the house. We were small, like 6 and 8 years old, and they were as tall as we were. We loved them.

7. Do you have a nativity scene? No

8. Hardest person to buy for? Me

9. Easiest person to buy for? my husband - as long as it has a Green Bay Packers logo on it, he's a happy, happy camper.

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Fruitcake

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail! I love getting them, I love sending 'em.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Scrooged, with Bill Murray

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I shop all year long, if I see a gift for someone I love, I pick it up in July.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yep... but never while I lived in the same state as the giver. One of the many benefits of moving all the time.

15. Favorite thing(s) to eat at Christmas? Cranberry sauce - the kind that comes in a can, and you refrigerate, then slice along the rings the can leaves in the jelly.

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Colored

17. Favorite Christmas song? O Holy Night

18. Travel for Christmas or stay at home? Stay home preferred but willing to travel

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yes

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? The materialistic hype...

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper, but I am really bad at the wrapping part.

2. Real tree or artificial? Artificial. I was allergic to the Christmas tree as a kid, but I don't think I am any more.

3. When do you put up the tree? Early December.

4. When do you take the tree down? The first week of January.

5. Do you like eggnog? I can take it or leave it.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? A schnauzer puppy.

7. Do you have a nativity scene? No

8. Hardest person to buy for? Dad, he buys everything for himself.

9. Easiest person to buy for? My brother who likes the same stuff I do.

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? A beach towel. No wait, a tea set that my old employer gave everyone.

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Real mail, but I'm not good at sending cards.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? It's A Wonderful Life is one of my all-time favorites for any season.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? November, mostly on-line these days.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No, but I've thrown some away.

15. Favorite thing(s) to eat at Christmas? It used to be stuffing, but I suspect it will now be turkey with cranberry sauce.

17. Favorite Christmas song? Il Est Ne Le Divin Enfant. We sung this in cast choir at Walt Disney World when I worked there, and I liked it a lot.

18. Travel for Christmas or stay at home? Travel to see my family.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Christmas Eve. Morning is for the birds.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both!! Although I'm known for using unusual wrapping material, too... such as buying containers that aren't really supposed to be gift boxes and using them as such. Why not give people a box they can reuse for something else??

2. Real tree or artificial? Has been artificial, but this year? REAL, BABY.

3. When do you put up the tree? Um. It's still not up yet. ~blushing~ But that's only because Army hubby was gone for a couple weeks, so this weekend it will be.

4. When do you take the tree down? About New Year's? lol

5. Do you like eggnog? Only light eggnog now..and only a very small quantity mixed with non-fat milk.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? Hhmmm. It sounds strange, but I honestly don't remember alot of my childhood? Have never been able to figure out why.

7. Do you have a nativity scene? Nope

8. Hardest person to buy for? The male variety...any of them...lol

9. Easiest person to buy for? Hubby. Although I always overspend on him. :P

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? a sweater with embroidered house cats on it. :O What am I, 80?? lol

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Definitely mail. With the list here and my own, I mailed out 90 of them this year so far!!

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? I don't really have one.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Pick a day out of the year... I buy year 'round and stock pile.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Umm... yes. But I'm very careful about it...

23. What I love most about Christmas? What don't I love about Christmas?? It's my favorite holiday.. and I always go all out!!! I love buying presents for random people...even those that I don't know very well. I think it comes from the times when I wasn't able to get presents, let alone decent food, so now that I'm a little more fortunate, I really enjoy sharing it with others and spreading the joy... You're likely to see me leaving a $3 tip for my cup of coffee at Starbucks in the morning... or donating things to every charity collecting around the holidays. Despite what others say about spending too much or giving too much, my philosophy is that if it makes ME feel good to do it? Screw what everyone else thinks....I'm gonna have a Merry Christmas, and so is everyone around me.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both, depending on the item...

2. Real tree or artificial? Fake, and pre-lit...I want it to be as easy as possible to put up!

3. When do you put up the tree? The 2nd or 3rd week in November.

4. When do you take the tree down? Usually Mid-January

5. Do you like eggnog? Ewww, no. I've never liked it, but now, post-op, the very thought of it gags me.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? My dirt bike. I rode it everywhere. It was a Huffy with a bright orange "76" in the frame with wide wheels and handlebar grips. I thought I was Big S*** on that bike!

7. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes, my wife's grandmother made it and we put it up every year. Actually, now that I think about it, we have two or three more in different parts of the house that are smaller.

8. Hardest person to buy for? My wife. She likes thoughtful things rather than just an expensive gift. I have to plan carefully. My goal is happy tears!

9. Easiest person to buy for? My sister--gift cards!

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Irregular Underwear--Tight in the front, Huge in the back...I should have turned them around! (But I was like 14 and didn't particularly want to discuss my underwear habits with grandma!)

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Both...We have an extensive list and postage gets expensive...I send ecards to about half...

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Christmas Vacation...(*Shitter was full!*)

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? We shop all year long too so that we're not overwhelmed with everything just in December.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Oh, yeah. And, we use Lisa's Same State rule.

15. Favorite thing(s) to eat at Christmas? Breakfast Casserole (eggs, sausage, cheese--delicious!)

23. What I love most about Christmas? Up until this year, it was the enjoyment I got out of giving gifts to others. This year, now that we have the baby, I just can't wait to be Santa. I've thought about it for years--about being able to give my kids the same type of memory-filled Christmases that my parents gave me and I'm thrilled that I get to start doing that. **got a little teary eyed thinking about it...*

3. When do you put up the tree? Thanksgiving weekend. The kids nag me to death and it must be done.

4. When do you take the tree down? December 26th, I HATE having Christmas up a minute longer than necessary!!
5. Do you like eggnog? Nope, but I like Bailey's Irish Cream...though it makes me ill now...

6. Favorite gift received as a child? A guitar. I was in 3rd grade at private school...and I played that thing until 8th grade for all events, in church, everything. Those were the good ole' days.

7. Do you have a nativity scene?I have one that was given to me as a gift, however it has never left the box.

9. Easiest person to buy for? My middle girl who will take anything pink, girly, or Princess....and my SON...who's list is easier stated by what it DOESN'T contain!

10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Sex Toys. Hubbie thought we would THEME chirstmas...and his little brain came up with that one! I have spent years teaching him the error of that fatal Christmas!!

23. What I love most about Christmas?The sheer JOY on my kids faces on Christmas Morning when they realize that Santa DID eat the cookies!!! If it weren't for my children, Chirstmas would be very, very somber!

OMG VAN.....that has got to be the WORST I have ever heard!!! That tops my Husbands Worst gift ever!! You poor dear!!! GAWD...toenail clippings....man...did you make him suffer for that one??
