I_love_Hello Kitty

For my birthday, I bought myself a new pair of jeans...in size 16! I was a size 22 jeans in August when I had the surgery.

I think my weight loss has been slower than many which sometimes gets me down...but a lot of that I think is due to my body's reaction to how sick I got with the stricture and the nausea and its holding on to some weight to make sure I'm not still sick or something. (after opening up the stricutre 4 1/2 weeks ago, I have only lost about 2 lbs...and I can't eat much...so its kind of bewildering)

Now I am in a size 16 jeans...and don't think I have been there since my 20's.

Also I am eating pretty much anything I choose in small portions...with no real adverse reactions thus far (since the stricture was opened).. So, I hesitantly can say I think I'm over the complication hump.

Simone,

You and have been going on this journey together. We had our surgery around the same time and our stricture about the same time. I am glad all is working out for you. Keep your chin up and be positive because rather its one pound or 10 pounds its weight thats falling off never to return. Happy Birthday again.
