The big social event that's all the buzz is that monthly East County group coming up this week. I think it's for post-ops only. Then, there's the Friday nite get together's at a Starbucks somewhere in Mira Mesa. Also, there's a few walking groups lurking around town on Saturday mornings.

Actually, the East county meeting is for EVERYONE. It is a great meeting and there will be a clothing exchange this month. I am bummed that I am going to miss it...but I am sending 4 bags of clothes with Karen!

That sounds like a GREAT idea but I don't think I could go out to dinner afterwards, this month. Actually, a few of us girls were talking about that recently and we forgot to mention it here. It would be a lot of fun and I am totally for it...when I have the funds!

Can't wait 'til Wednesday...it's gonna be fun!

Hi gang, I am new to this forum. I am scheduled for surgery 6/22/04, one week! My stomach is churrning although I have researched and preped for 18 months. I guess as the time nears I am getting a bit anxious. Reading your stories and support of one another is helpful. Thanks for the boost! I am interested in joining the east co group. What time and where?

It's the 3rd Wednesday of the month. So this month it is on the 16th. It starts at 6:30. Check the calendar also, it is full of dates of things going on.
The meetings take place at the Sonrise church in Santee off Magnolia. It is just before Mulvaney's. I look forward to seeing everybody there!

Thank you Bridget. I have to work tomorrow until 7:30. I will plan on the next group or meet up with you all for the sat walks once I am up and running post op, {how long do you think that will take?. Looking forward to meeting new friends and new lifestyles. Excited...

I'm going to try to make it tomorrow. It will probably be the only time I can come as I normally work until 8 pm. Since I'm still off work, it'll be a good chance to meet everyone and put some faces to these names.
