I know that I live on the opposite side of the States ( Maine) but if there is anything I can do for any of you in California please let me know. I will be praying for you and your family. And I will definitly be praying for the fire fighters as well. My husband is one here in Maine and I can't imagine what its like for them in California. Desiree

How pathetic I am... I am sitting here worried that I am going to get "in trouble" for not going to work today. The freeway is closed and there is fire everywhere and the winds are blowing 50mph...but I am afraid of getting in trouble.... how pathetic...I am almost 36 years old and am afraid of getting scolded for looking out for myself. Hubby is pissed...says I better NOT try to go to work after he leaves. He is afraid I will get stuck somewhere and not be able to get home. So here I am...watching t.v. that doesn't report anything on San Diego...since I have L.A. stations... ARRRRR I have to get all my info off of the internet and my electricity has already gone off once.

All I can say is De ja Vu and I'm waiting for orders.....we are in disaster mode at work and as nurses, anything can happen

Last time, i was a nurse covering valley cener and ramona......now, I'm on the coast and the fires in san marcos in't that far away.

we're packing up. we have not been given the evac order, but I am two blocks south of the 56 and north of there has been ordered out. i'm not going anywhere yet, but am ready just in case.

A fire broke out last night in San Marcos about 1 am in the Twin Oaks Valley area, its burned about 1,000 arces.

I just heard that RB was a madatory evec. Are you guys ok?

I don't think you'll have a problem with your boss, as they have evacutated RB. No work for you today! Please stop worrying and stay home and be safe!

I am home. My boss lives in RB and has been evacuated...she called to make sure that I wasn't trying to come in...then we received an email from the President of the company telling EVERYONE to stay home. There is no way I would have gotten there anyway since the 15 is closed.

Dawn, thanks for the thoughts. We're actually in PQ - Rancho Penasquitos. My truck is loaded in case we get the word. As of right now the evacuation line is about 2 blocks north of me.

This news has me so worried. I've been watching live video feed online from ABC and I just feel competely helpless. Please, all of you in the affected areas, stay safe and get out if they tell you to.
