I have one big regret. I did not take any before pictures

. I wanted to, but all of those years of camera avoiding wouldn't let me actually take any pics.

There is one possibility. There is a video that my mom has of my sister before her prom. I am in the background. That is the closest I have to a before, but I don't know if is possible to make it a still pic of just the part with me??? Does anyone know if this can be done, or even better can anyone do this??

of course it can be done! you just have to capture the video from the camera onto your computer, and select a "still" shot from the video feed.. then save it as a .jpeg.

of course, that also means that her video camera has to have the capability to connect to a computer.. and that you have to have some type of software that will allow you to perform this action..

what kind of video tape is it, do you know? size/format?

It was done on her camera. She didn't know she was doing video

I am pretty sure it has been erased from the memory card, but it is saved on her computer, and I think a copy was emailed to me.

Neither of us has any special picture/video software, just what came with our cameras. We are not technologically advanced people

Not sure about the video, but I understand where you are coming from with the pictures. I did not take "before" shots either. I figured I have 18 years of "fat" pictures to use!! LOL
