The not talked about subject...
I have read a few times that it is common to loose your sex drive after gastric bypass. I got to thinking about this and did some research. This is not discussed alot and I'm wandering... Is it because the harmones change and you just are not interested or is it because of Vaginal Looseness that accurrs. I know that after giving birth women have vaginal loosness but then loosing a ton of weight has to cause additional loosness which in turn causes a lack of stimulation. Therefore, Is it the actual feelings or the desire that is lost?
This is a tender subject that seems to be taboo!

I was great after the gastric bypass, then over time things slowed down a little. Now after this last surgery and all the complications, I couldn't do it for some time...now lately it seems like I have to put it on the list of things to do...it shouldn't be that way and I have a very understanding husband.... I guess when you get out the the practice, you have to get back into the habit. I hope my head catches up soon.

First, I want to answer your question and tell you that for me, I'm hornier now than ever. Second, and very importantly....VAGINAL LOOSENESS DUE TO WEIGHT LOSS!!!!!???????? Is this true? Speak up girlfriends....I need to know the answer to this question. Immediately if possible....sooner if you can get to it.

Taboo, it's not taboo. This is a very open forum.
Hi Janine,
This forum is very open. Great place to ask questions. You will get real answers.
As for sex drive, it took about two months or so before my sex drive returned. I think this was mainly before of hormones, in balance. Plus my body was healing, WLS in major surgery. Fast weight lost will do crazy to the human body. I am almost 5 months out and the sex drive is normal for me.
As for Vaginal Looseness. I have not notice a differents after losing 60 pounds. The vaginal wall is wrap in muscles. There are Kegel Exercises. Go to this website.

On a brighter note, sex is easier and tons of fun after losing 60 pounds, hubby seem to be HAPPY.

Vaginal Looseness....HUH.....Vaginal Looseness...I have never heard of this happening after weight loss. I just asked hubby if he noticed any "Vaginal Looseness"...if he felt he was throwing his sausage down a hallway...and he said "no..not at all"...all the while looking at me like I was insane (don't you think he would be used to my strangeness by now).

Cindy!
throwing it down a hallway!!! lol! histerical.. Ask him if it's the same tightness as before the weight loss.. Seriously... All joking aside... Does is seem roomier? Seams to make sence to me... After having kids my husband told me that I wasn't as tight as I once was, but hell after passing 2 bowling ball size kids I emagine it would be a bit looser... But after all the weight loss it stands to reason it would be even looser don't you think? If this is true, I plan on getting it tightend through surgery. Just checking if anyone has noticed. oh.. and I'm so glad you all are so willing to discuss this. It's not something I would bring up in person at a group session... I'm way to shy for that and it's way... way... to personal. I apreciate the honesty!

Don't know if this might tie into what you're going through... but when my husband deploys and then comes back home it is hard for me to get back into the groove of things... mind you I don't mind the first two or three insane "OMG-YOUR-HOME" sessions... but after that I really have to almost relearn stuff... it's odd...
BUT he is currently home and I have noticed that since my surgery I have enjoyed sex more. I was always comfortable with my size, but I think sometimes sex was... mmm not hindered... but felt different because of my actual size.
Lets just say I'm much more happy now... things fit better! hahaha

Uh, no!
Nope, not looser, in fact, the opposite, probably because I'm in better physical shape than I've ever been in my life. Plus, being on top is not just possible now, it's fun.
