Did I Do The Right Thing?
Hello I am almost six months out from my RYN and Im down slightly over 100lbs but I AM MISERABLE! I am always nausea after anything that I eat! 90% of the time I feel awful, nausea, weak and just plain TIRED! It doesnt matter what I eat it makes me nausea, so I avoid eating when at all possible...it a never ending cycle that I have grown to hate I cant even enjoy the weight loss because I just plain dont feel good most of the time. Am I the only one who is going through this?

I was pretty tired at 6 months out but it did get better. I didn't have the nausea thing unless I ate something I shouldn't have, however. I think a trip to your dr would be the best thing for you. Maybe your iron or B12 is low.

Hi Neighbor! I'm next door in Wisconsin... and still pre-op. I agree with the other suggestions of seeing your surgeon &/or PCP! When was the last time you were in? I'm surprised you haven't had 3, 6 mos. checks!!!
Don't fool around with the ongoing nausea... please go in!!!

I have had nausea from the beginning but it wasnt so often as it is now. I have mentioned this to my doctor and I was advised that it should get better....but clearly its not getting better. I called the office on Friday before noon telling them I cant take it anymore and Im still waiting for a return call

Show up on their doorstep and demand to be seen. You are not getting healthy by not eating hon.

JUMPING UP AND DOWN OVER HERE!! Go to the doctor and don't give up until they give you some answers. The squeaky wheel gets the oil! Unfortunately it seems for us we have to yell really loudly before we get any help. I have battled nausea from day 3 of bypass. I have reversed two weeks ago and have gotten rid of nausea. If you want to PM me I can call you and maybe offer some suggestions on things you might be able to try. Hang in there honey, it's not fun to be miserable all the time. Janie

I'm battling the same situation......I am farther out then you but just feel terrible most days...I don't get the nausea feeling all the time but almost always feel terrible after I eat so I guess I avoid eating as well...My doctors don't know why as well, tell me to eat less but if I eat less I will probably starve to death. The weird thing is that while I was pregnant I felt normal for once in my life and could eat very well....Strange.........I try not to complain because I know there are people who are going through worse things then me but I wont lie I am tired of being tired now and searching for answers myself.....So I feel for you!

I had the same symptoms about a mnth ago (I'm 5.5 months out). The reason was I had gastritis (from meds I was taking for a urinary tract infection) AND a stricture, at the same time. This was diagnosed over the phone with my surgeon's staff, and I was scheduled for an endoscopy, which IMMEDIATELY solved the problem. I am feeling fine now, and have ever since the endoscopy.
I agree with the others - you need to be seen, probably by your surgeon. I can so relate with how you are feeling.
