Nutty Advise ...
My wife had a great idea to sell roasted nuts for the holidays. That is, fresh, hand roasted nuts. The idea is not to roast anything until an order comes in, this way the customer is guaranteed the freshest possible. We would make them in one size only - 6 oz., and offer 4 types: peanuts, almonds, cashews and mixed.
Still hammering out details, but what do y'all think?
I've been doing a bit of research and it looks like their is a TON of money in nuts.

I LOVE cashews!!! I would buy freshly roasted cashews in a heartbeat!
What a terrific idea for the holidays and a great way to make a little pocket money too. Sounds like a great idea to me!

I love cashews too, but lately I've been on a walnut kick. Almonds are okay, but not my fav and I'm burnt out on peanuts. There are companies that do nut sales for a fund raiser. I know my daughter's girl scout troop did a nut sale fundraiser in the fall, and they did very well. Good luck!

just about any nuts, but cashews are my favs! I remember being a kid and going into Sears - remember the candy and nut kiosk they used to have? We'd always get hot cashews and then walk around the store...

Roasted nuts
They are good but WAY better when they are fresh and warm. You should also do it at a swap meet or flea market (whatever they are called). I know they do it at the Sports Arena in San Diego, and charge a ton, but there soooo good hot and fresh!
