Thank you! But I think I should make really clear at this point that life in most marriages is not always blissful, and mine is no different.

My husband is a super intelligent independent thinker who can sometimes be emotinally remote. I, on the other hand, am absolutely perfect!

We do butt heads now and then. However, after a lot of years of working at it, we have developed a mutual respect for the other's feelings (most of the time!), and we do have true moments, lots of them, of companionship and warmth.

We have so much in common.

Born and raised in NY, currently living in TN and married to a real country boy(but one of those really intelligent independent thinkers. I guess it is a good thing, I have enough of the emotional stuff for the both of us).

I've been here close to five years now and I still need 'translation' on so many things.

During the last county fair I went to a mule pulling contest. Living on Long Island I never thought that would happen. Didn't even know people went to things like that. I had a great time though.

I love that you have the date nights and seem so happy. I can only hope to have that with my husband in the future.

I just went last night to our state fair here in Kansas and I found a place that was selling wraps with chicken or tuna and fruit salad on the side. It was really tasty. Was good for me to eat, and I knew it wouldn't make me sick. Honestly I didn't even miss all the other stuff. I just went along and enjoyed watching my oldest have a blast at her first concert.
