Pat,
Thank you, thank you for sharing this with us. The minister of my church is a Reserve Air Force Chaplain who was activated to Brooks AFB in Texas. Many of the folks in church have been whining that he isn't here with us holding our hands...I sent the letter and response to the entire church. He is where he needs to be for our military and their families. The whole letter is a metaphor for not hearing or seeing the entire situation, although this one should have been obvious. I will hold my tongue next time I want to be critical of someone with this letter in mind.

I loved this! My dad would have loved this too! Thank God for those who are willing to serve and put up with everyone else's crap.
