Okay, I am applying for a promotion within my company and am wondering if you could read over my cover letter and give any thoughts. Thank you for your time. Gary.

To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is to express my interest in the job posted for the position of Supervisor of Operations in the Great Lakes Region. I have been in the armored car industry since April of 2004 when I got my start as a Vault Teller/Writer with Guardian Armored. I quickly realized that Brinks was all-together a better company to work for and made the transition on February 14, 2005, at which time I started as a Driver and progressed into becoming a Messenger.
Not only am I a self-motivated, team player, but I am also very passionate about working with Brinks and moving up within a company that has a history of success. My job duties while working in the Detroit branch have allowed me to gain an understanding of how a well-organized armored car company should operate.
While working in my current position I have become one of the most proficient employees when it comes to ATM’s as well as customer service. I set out to make customers feel secure, while retaining a professional relationship with them, leaving them with the sense that I am happy and proud to be an employee of Brinks. No matter what issue arises with a customer, I ensure that they have an answer and feel confident in our service by the time I leave a location.
I am consistently looking to learn more and provide the most professional service possible. On occasion I have had the opportunity of assisting the Brinks vault in their time of need as well as performing the duties of Sunday Supervisor at times as well.
I can be reached almost anytime via my cell phone at 313-739-3539. Thank you for your time and considering me for this position. I look forward to speaking with you about this opportunity for advancement.
Respectfully yours,
Gary A Marx, II
