Default I'll be back Monday!

Well gang, the time has come for me and my family to go see my adopted son that is in boot camp. He has been gone from home since June 12th and it is time for family weekend! YEAAAAAA! I'm so excited that I can barely stand it! I just need a HUGE hug from him and to see his lil eyes again. I am SOOOO proud of him for what he is doing. We are leaving in about 3 hours and it will be around a 5 hour drive. We get to see him in the morning at 10 am and then have him with us the rest of the day and through the night and all day Sunday until 8:00 pm. I will be back on Monday evening sometime. Just wanted my extended family to know what I was up to this weekend and why I am MIA. Here is a pic of my sweet son. Can you tell I am doting? LOL See ya on Monday. Everyone have a great and safe weekend! Oh, this is Shad and he is in his ROTC uniform on his way to their final banquet of his senior year in high school a few months ago. He left for basic about 2 weeks after graduating high school. Sorry the pic is so big, but I was lazy and it's late and didn't feel like resizing.

Just to let my friends know I am home safe and we have a GREAT weekend until we had to say g'bye yesterday. My heart is very lonesome again right now for Shad. I'm SO darn proud of this little guy! I'll write more about it all and post pics when I have time. Gotta focus on work today. So, we had a wonderful weekend, got plenty of hugs and kisses filled with lots of tears and came home with the front end of my car needing replaced ! Will explain that one later too! UGH Overall, watchin someone I love so much go through what Shad is going through gives me even a deep and larger respect for what our military is doing for us all! These people are the finest and most dedicated of anyone I have ever had the priviledge of meeting or seeing. Wow, my heart fills up with emotion for these people for what they do! I wish I could share my experience with everyone of you that has never been exposed to what our military is about. All I can say is...........BE PROUD and always say thank you to them!

I agree with you. I don't know how these kids do what they do. Amazing.
Sorry your heart aches, but glad you had that time together.
