Question Encouragement or just fat?

Ok so I need your guys input..... Today was my first day of school. Im going to the closest college to my house and by the way it took me an hr and forty five mins to find parking! Anyway, It was so hot and humid... welll im walkign back to my car, and this lady comes up to me and says can i share something with you. Now im kinds looking at her crazy but im a nice girl so I say sure. And she is like ...... Ive love 180 something pounds I had the gastric bypass and I thought I should tell you that. Now mind you this is a college campus. Only time people normally walk up to strangers is if your tring to get a number or something or you have a class with them.

What do you think she ment by that?

Did God answer my paryers when I asked Him to give me a sign im doing the right thing?

Or

Do you think I looked just overly obese and looked like i needed help?

I felt so bad I so thought about quiting untill I get done with this process.

my take on it is that she most likely saw her self in you and wanted you to benifit sp? the way she did from wls , i don't think she was being mean she most likely just wanted to help

I honestly wouldn't be offended but mostly because I've on several occasions wanted to go up and do that to someone. I never have because I just don't have the nerve and would feel awful if I did offend someone, but I agree with Christina that she probably saw a lot of herself in you and wanted to give you some sage advice. Maybe she's wishing that she had done her surgery at a younger age so that she could have had more of her life.

I'd take it as a good sign and a sign that you're doing the right thing.

I agree .I have so many times seen people struggling to walk and to breath and wanted to say something and I couldn't because I didn't want to offend anyone.Take it for what it was meant to be,a well meaning gesture.Barb

I agree. I have wanted to do that myself but have been too chicken. I'm sure she wanted to HELP you, not insult you hon.

I would have probably been upset because it hard to found out how people really see you trust meeh I know. One of my co workers called meeh MO once well he called both of us MO. At first I was like OMG what a jerk then about 5 seconds later I was like why I am getting mad he is right. I had to realize the only person I was hiding my weight from was myself and what good does that do. Take it as a sign you were looking for and try to make positive changes. Glad you shared.
